Barzini’s Italian Depot

I met up with my aunt for dinner on main street. I didn't know main street is popular amongst the locals. I was craving Italian food and found this restaurant. It's small but cute. They were busy too. Small menu my aunt ordered the steak with soup, delicious by the way. I went with my usual chicken Alfredo.

Stopped in to try this Italian place. It is a little hard to find but, well worth the effort. Inside and nice and set up like an old style Italian restaurant with small lights on table and even a piano player too. Great low key ambiance. Believe it or not, I had the meat loaf off the menu. The menu literally said "yes meat loaf, it's that good". It was good, almost like eating veal with beef gravy. The gravy and the meat had a good flavor, worth a try. The table next to me a lady had the chicken Alfredo and she went on and on about how good it was. Yes tables are close to each other. I also tried the tiramisu, menu stated it was home made. It was not bad, just the whipped cream was a little heavy and it needed a little more espresso on the lady fingers. The waitress was amazing. She was polite, professional and had a 1920's style dress on, not sure how she waited tables and was the hostess in the dress and kept up. But she did and did an amazing job. The chef's did come out and check on folks and even did food running. The staff overall was exceptional. I will have to go back and try some of the pasta as well.

Food was pretty good. It's better than going to OG. Breadsticks are tasty and good for a starter

Just off Main Street in Anoka, Barzini's is a semi-odd little place with all sorts of memorabilia from The Godfather and some other unique decor that's a little kitschy.That being said, the food is pretty good and quite affordable given today's pricing! We started with the breadsticks, which are solid and plenty shareable. Next up were the steak bites, which were maybe not quite as impactful as the menu description might lead one to believe, but were still a solid 4-star dish.Things wrapped up with the steak tortellini which was another 4-star, really solid dish that packed some solid richness in the sauce and they didn't skimp at all on the steak!

This is a cute little place. We were seated and got drinks quickly. Our waitress was amazing. She was very cheerful and helpful. She definitely elevated the experience. It's a small place and the menu is pretty limited. We started with steak bites which were good. My husband got tortellini there was an option to add meatballs which he did. I chose angel hair pasta with meat sauce. Our food came quickly and it was hot. It's a cozy place, we thought there was a piano player but it was actually a player piano. Our favorite part was definitely the waitress. She was great and we would go back for the service alone.

My smoke show of a wife and I decided to finally check out this small local Italian joint on a Friday night. We knew it was small so we did make a reservation, I'd recommend doing so if you're planning a visit on a weekend with more than two people.The ambiance was nice, nothing fancy but kind of a cool place.The menu is very small, which is totally fine since everything we tried was outstanding!! The steak and fried onions were a fabulous appetizer (we had the mushrooms removed as we aren't down with fungi)!! The breadsticks were among the best we had ever had anywhere, phenomenal!!!I had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy, again very very good! My sex pot wife loved her chicken Alfredo dish as well!We finished the meal with the homemade tiramisu, which was again very good!Get some!

Food is delicious! Nice ambiance and friendly service. Piano player is unique and entertaining.

Date night, so I chose somewhere my wife and I had never been. Barzini's was the choice and is definitely a one and done for us. The ambiance is dark and Godfather themed, some weird mannequins. It was not busy with one other couple besides us. Our server provided good service and was attentive. Now to the food. We started with the breadsticks and meat sauce. The breadsticks are similar to the pillsbury breadsticks that come out of a can, the meat sauce was good not great. I had the famous meatloaf, and I am not sure what it is famous for. Thin slices of meatloaf with a rather unimpressive texture. I had the mash potatoes and gravy and side salad, for an ADDITIONAL cost. The mashed potatoes and gravy were ok, but very salty. The side salad was laughable both in size and quality. My wife had the Chicken Alfredo. Penne pasta that more than likely came out a box. The Alfredo sauce and chicken was good, that was probably the only redeeming part of the meal. Certainly not worth the $70 dollars that we spent. Having an ala carte menu for sides is a bit ridiculous. The two thin slices of meatloaf at $13 dollars seems out of touch. All said and done, we will choose elsewhere in the future.

stopped in for a dinner tonight, absolutely delicious food! we had the breadsticks, steak bites and spaghetti dinner. so good, you have to try this place!!

As other have said, food was pre-made from a can, way overly salted. I got the steak tortellini, one piece of steak tender, next chewy. Cheese sauce was the same I can get at any grocery store. My wife's choice was about the same premade store quality from a can or box. It is not a kid friendly place as the movie on the screen showed more than one expected of a female character. If you can boil water, you can make the same thing this place does at home. Though the prices were fair so if your feeling lazy might be OK to try. I will pass myself.
