This review has to do only with their Lo-Mein. I have been to the place many times. I love their pad Thai and spring rolls. Yesterday I saw they were offering lo-mein. I decided I would order it and try it. It was super bland even though I asked for a spicier version. They loaded it with veggies and the amount of food was good, but it tasted like nothing and was super oily as well. I will stick with my pad Thai and leave the Lo-Mein to the Vietnamese and Chinese spots.

Been here 4 times and finally decided to review. Their food is authentic Thai!! I've tried a handful of things by now, and today I just tried my new favorite. Their Tom yum with red snapper was so good. And their shrimp larb salad is refreshing. The Tom Zaab is also a good option (with pork ribs). Definitely try it! The staff are super nice (except the older man). Love that it's always busy! Proves it's good!!! Plenty of seating as well to accommodate groups.

Walked in with a group of ten on a Wednesday afternoon. There was a good sized parking lot! The place is pretty big so we were able to get a few tables with no problem. The food was good, but our servers were amazing! Very sweet, helped some of our group navigate the menu, and answered any questions. The menu is HUGE. If you want any type of SE Asian food, Bangkok Thai is a good bet. It's most helpful to the waitstaff if you order by the menu number. Our table split cream cheese wontons and egg rolls. Both were good! I would have liked more meat in the egg rolls as I'm not a huge fan of mostly cabbage. I split a Stir-Fried Flat Noodle with Basil with a coworker. They noodles were great! More veggies would have been nice, but I wasn't mad! Some folx in our group ordered the pho and absolutely loved the broth! I'll definitely be coming back to try it!

We ordered basil beef stir fry and the eggplant plant and shrimp with ground pork stir fry. The beef was not good at all, the meat was very very dry( if you couldn't tell from the pic, it was leather ) , we can't taste the basil at all. The eggplant was better but a bit too salty. We wouldn't hurry back.

I would like to start off by saying this place has been on my go to list, however i havent had time until today. I would say the food was great. My friend and I got many different dish and they all came out great! One thing i would say is the customer service is really not that great. We waited a while for them to take our orders and the food took a while to come out. I understand that they were short staff. The food was great each one has a different taste. The soup was super yummy. The stir fry basil was super yummy. When they said that its spicy they mean it. I love spicy food. Also, the food wasnt salty and it was super good. The thai tea is kind of water down. I would recommend this place.

Great spot for Thai food, especially take out or delivery. I like their mango stir fry dish. The classics are also great- try the pad Thai and green curry. I felt the spice levels were a bit mild and some of the flavors seemed overly sweet in my opinion. But overall, very tasty and reasonably priced too!

Bangkok Thai Deli is a super-authentic, semi-rundown, vegan-friendly Thai restaurant in St. Paul. You can't go wrong with anything you get here. The stir-fried pea tips with garlic sauce ($14) are fabulous; you also don't see pea tips often in Thai restaurants, so this is a rare treat. The stir-fried water spinach with Thai chili pepper ($13) isn't bad, but water spinach is stringy and I'd recommend the pea tips or Chinese broccoli over this dish. The Thai-style papaya salad ($9) can be modified to be vegan without fish sauce, shrimp and crab. It's pretty good. The stir-fried flat noodle with basil ($12) is tasty, but I prefer the stir-fried flat noodle with gravy ($12) which is more savory (it's more commonly known as lard nar). Lastly, the stir fried cashew nut with tofu ($14) and the stir fried tofu with basil ($12) are both deliciously savory and addictive, but small portions. The restaurant will make any dish vegan and understands the concept of no fish sauce, no oyster sauce and no obvious meats/animal products like shrimp and egg. That said, I don't think they can modify their curries to be vegan, as the curry pastes have shrimp pre-mixed in them.Bangkok Thai is easily the best Thai restaurant in St. Paul and one of the best in the Twin Cities. I'd also recommend Khun Nai (Minneapolis) and Sen Yai Sen Lek (Minneapolis).

Bangkok Thai Deli on University Ave is fantastic! I found my new favorite soup, Tom Yum, here--so flavorful! We also ordered pineapple fried rice, water spinach chili, egg rolls, and their incredible sticky mango rice, which was the highlight of the meal. Great staff, a clean atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

This has got to be one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Saint Paul. Came in 4/19/2024. We had pad see ewwk, seafood papaya salad, fried chicken wings, and chicken massaman curry. Everything was great the stars of the show were the papaya salad and pad see ewwk. Ambience is chill and inviting. I would definitely bring family, or spend time with friends here.
