Love Anglers when in downtown Hayward great family stop. Food is delicious - had the chicken salad sandwich and the fried green-beans ... drinks well made Bloody Marys are awesome Yea sometimes a wait but it is summer and busy season so they offer you inside or outside you choose and well prime seating sometimes you have to wait.Will definitely be back.

Very popular place on Main St. we stopped in early for lunch soon after they opened on a Saturday. Very soon there was a waiting line, place was hopping. Inside decor is northwoods classic: mounted fish and deer heads. 2 moose heads. Couple bobcats. Lots of wood on the walls and ceiling. Extensive beers both on tap and bottled. Full liquor bar. Now for what we ate. I had a burger and fries. Excellent crispy thin fries. Burger bun was nice, held up for the whole burger, did not fall apart like many do. But the meat was cold, dry, and really had no taste. My wife had Caesar salad with chicken. Chicken was also dry, and the romaine was finely shredded which is the opposite of a usual Caesar salad. Detracted from the salad a bit. On the other hand, my draft Alaskan Amber was delicious. ( as it should be!)Server was nice and friendly and attentive.

Great local place! Great bar area, lots of seating for diners, and plenty of old photos and stuffed fish & animals to admire.The food was great! Pretzels with beer cheese dip, beer battered cod, and a patty melt to die for was tonight's meal. Service was very friendly and efficient.

Lunch was busy on a Tuesday, so we assumed the food was delicious, and it was. Pizza, burger, nachos, and burnt ends at our table. Enjoyed the taxidermy works and private restroom. Great stop!

Friendly atmosphere and good food. I had the bacon cheeseburger. It was pretty good, it filled me up and the fries were on point. According to the menu, you only get one free refill on soft drinks, I only had one refill so it was all good!The servers were friendly, I would come back. I like my bacon to not be like free bark, so the bacon was a little over cooked for my liking but the burger was still good.

My family sat down and the owner instantly started talking to us. Bought us a drink, told us where to fish and then we had fabulous food!! Prime Rib was amazing!!

Good food, good service, good prices and good variety on the menu. Be sure to order the breadsticks. They're special

Food and drinks were great, however the service was slightly disappointing. We barely saw our server and when I asked for boxes, she took my plate and threw it out. I had some fries left that I was going to eat later but I guess not! I suggest asking to take away someone's plate before assuming (unless it's clearly empty).

I've been here twice. The first time a friend and I sat at the bar which wasn't busy and the bartender couldn't be bothered. We waited a few minutes for drinks and then we sat for over 10 minutes after we finished them waiting for a refill, which we sat at the edge of her side of the bar as you do, kept trying to make eye contact with her, before finally walking over to where she was at the other end of the bar and asking to tab out without another drink. The second time I came with family and we sat in a booth and ordered food. The service that time was good, as was the food. No complaints from that visit at all. Would be willing to go again to sit down and eat but I don't think I'll be up to the bar again. Booths are comfortable!

Great food and fun atmosphere... a museum of big ole musky! Friendly, quick service. A great sop on vacation....
