The restaurant is inspired by their mother, Angelea Rogers, offering authentic traditional soul food created with recipes full of rich and savory flavors, served to you with love, tenderness, and large portions.Location 4/5 Angelea's is a welcomed addition to the Brooklyn Center area conveniently located off Brooklyn Blvd surrounding by shopping areas and public transportation. Ambiance 4/5 Very quaint place with cafeteria style ordering. There's a bar are with 4 seats however I do wish they had space to actually eat in. Outside of that, the ordering is quick and easy and wasn't congested. Prices/ Food 4/5 We ordered smothered Chicken, Mac N Cheese, Cabbage, and cornbread muffins for $27.00. The menu boast Turkey legs, bbq/ jerk chicken, desserts, to seafood and spaghetti, and greens. They have it all. It was as good and succulent as it looks! Meat falling off the bones, smack yo mama (not mines) lol good! The portions were huge, we couldn't eat it all. Had plenty of leftovers Overall 5/5 Angelea's Soul Food Kitchen is most definitely is a gift from their family to ours!

Stopped by in between classes for lunch to grab and go, and was absolutely blown away. My first time ordering soul food and I can't believe it took me almost 24 years of not experiencing these flavors. Can't wait to go back and try everything on their menu!

Food: I tried several dishes off the menu, and each was delicious and true to the traditional preparation of soul food. Nothing superfluous, but all of your typical Sunday favorites. I was pleasantly surprised to get that home cooked taste from a restaurant. I especially loved the ribs and the Mac & cheese Service: I love the setup of the restaurant. It's not a sit down place, more like an assembly line or cafeteria style. I appreciated that cause it made everything efficient and quick! The restaurant is clean in the inside, and the staff seem to do a great job of keeping a neat area and not cross contaminating food. Price: I was pleasantly surprised by the serving sizes. Very hefty scoops on all your favorites. It made the whole thing very valuable and super affordable!

Delicious food, wonderful clean atmosphere and very large portions.Customer service is spectacular and usually when we stop in it's not busy so we can get through the line pretty fast.I love getting the catfish and the Mac and cheese! Prices have increased but the quality remains the same, also, there is a spacious free parking lot in front of the building.

This food is delicious! I had the catfish nuggets and spaghetti and it was vey tasty. The spaghetti was made just right as well as the spaghetti. I went there for lunch and I will definitely visit again.

Simply put, Angelea's feels like home. I just moved here and found out about this place after going to an event they catered and I must say I'm happy to have learned of this restaurant. I've been in the store a couple of times now sometimes the wait is long and sometimes it's not just depends on the day but that's to be expected with food this food. The staff is nice, everything clean, and the food is amazing. The portions are very very decent

What can I say about this place? How about I can't say enough about Angelea's. The food was spectacular to say the least. It can be pricey but the portions are HUGE and totally worth it. I had the turkey leg dinner with greens and candied yams with a side of cabbage. It's too much food for one person, seriously My woman had the BBQ ribs and mac and cheese and greens meal. This food tastes like down-home food from big mama. I couldn't believe MN has something like this that's so palatable. We drove from South St Paul to Brooklyn Park and again it was worth the drive.

Its a spot where you think you know what you want but then you physically see all their food and if you weren't hungry, you will be! Everything looks delicious, I just don't believe you can go wrong with any of their dishes!! I order a smoked turkey leg with mac and cheese and greens and candied yams. I brought home some jerk wings. I loved the service because they really do give you enough food to make sure all your cravings and hunger is satisfied. It is a bit pricey but soo worth it when you want to treat yourself to good old soul food! Unfortunately I didn't take pics of the food because sometimes the food looks so freaking foos you can't thin about else but devouring it

Friendly staff & great food. You will not be disappointed. We orders ribs, naked wings, spaghetti, collard greens, Mac & cheese, peach cobbler, and banana pudding. Def my new spot for good home cooked meals. My family enjoyed everything! The slushies are a must.

Nothing spectacular IMHO. Turkey leg, appeared steamed, macaroni and cheese appeared to be cooked macaroni with creamy sauce and hunks of cheese unmelted. deserts were too sweet and without flavor to me...sorry
