Andy's Liquor

Was visiting Rochester and just happened to be looking for a liquor store. Big, yes it's big and has a good variety of Bourbon which is our beverage of choice. Since we were just visiting through from Alaska I found it easy to find what I wanted quick and easy! I liked the people who helped and the interaction. It was a cool liquor store. I would suggest them as it's a very nice big store for me, as a visitor from out of town their first impression was great!

Stopped by Andy's while in Rochester to see a friend. They have a policy where everyone needs to wear a mask and they only allow 6 people in at a time. The staff are there to greet you (from a safe distance) and are all wearing masks and gloves. This place is great, too. They have a wide selection of drinks and even have a special section in the back specifically for limited release runs or special new beers. I didn't get a look at the pricing but the things I got seemed rightfully priced as they were all small businesses and probably local, which is fine. I'd definitely make this my go-to liquor store if I lived in Rochester.

Boones Farm Strawberry Hill. Really? I didn't think that stuff existed anymore. But it does, and at Andy's.Andy's liquor ranks up there as one of the nicest, and most well stocked liquor stores around.They have monthly beer and wine specials so you can try something a different every month. Because I tend to prefer microbrews and less big name beverages, I'm always searching for how well stocked a liquor store is in those things. Andy's really surprised me. Part of the fun is reading some of the names for the beers and wines from all over the world. In most cases the name or artwork catches my attention. There are price ranges for every taste in both the wine, beer, and liquor so no matter what your budget, you'll find something. And if you have trouble making up your mind, one of the employees can recommend something based on your budget and taste preferences. He did so for us and his recommendation was spot-on.

Large liquor store with plenty of selection on liquors....they also have a wine cooling gizmo that you can drop your bottle in for a few minutes while you browse and it will be nice and chilly for you upon leaving. I like that they had a hard to find vodka available when nobody else in the area did called Precis---It was the best damn vodka I have ever had and I don't think they make it anymore but if anybody knows where I can get some please holler.....

Closed on Sundays even though Minnesota and the City of Rochester now permit Sunday sales after 159 years!

Great wine selection. I've been shopping at Andys for years. They always seem to have the best prices and if I can't find it someplace else, it's usually here. Went looking all over for corona light and they were the only one in town with it. They have a north location now too which is handy when I have to go to home Depot. Sometimes they have wine tasting which is fun, I picked up a Benziger chardonnay for $12 good deal.

Great selection. Great staff. I only wish their craft beer selection was larger. Their wine selection, conversely, is maybe too big. The breweries they purchase from have a much wider selection of purchase options than this store typically carries. Take Schell's for instance. they make something like 10-12 different varieties of beers. However, this store only stocks 2 at any given time. This case in point is played out throughout their beer section.

Amazing selection. I normally do not like being asked by staff if I need help because the answer is always no. Except here they were actually able to help me find a few small microbrews that I didn't know you could find in MN. Very friendly staff and they are knowledgeable.

Never shopping here again. Abusive employee. While I was in the store, the car on my driver's side left and a new car parked (perfectly in the center of his space) approximately one foot away from my car. I came out and could not get in my car. I asked two different employees POLITELY if they could page the owner of the car to move it. Nothing. ten minutes. I called the police who called the store for me. nothing. It is 40 degrees and starts to rain. Finally, other driver has finished shopping. Both he AND your employee are screaming at me because I was not parked perfectly. (I parked between the two cars that were there when I pulled in, one of which was parked over my line.) The employee actually screamed at me, "We care about the customers shopping in our store!" Do you really? It's more important to let someone finish buying three cases of liquor than to ask them to take five minutes to move their car for a customer standing over 20 minutes in the rain? I was informed that it was my fault, I picked the wrong man to pick on, bitch, and I shouldn't have complained because it's Christmas. Well, Merry Christmas to you, too.

Andy's was a fantastic choice for providing drinks for our wedding. We supplied the bartender, they supplied the drinks. I had little knowledge of how much and of what to order for drinks at our wedding and Richard at Andy's was able to work with me and create a drink menu. From ice, to kegs and wine, they were able to do it all and deliver to our venue. Thank you guys, you made it easy.
