American Legion Post 47

Met a group of classmates here for a lovely lunch. It was a beautiful day in Hastings. I ordered the strawberry salad with chicken and my husband ordered the bacon cheeseburger with chips. Both was good. We sat outside on their patio. Couldn't ask for a nicer day.

I need to be more diligent in taking pics & videos but the views from the legion were so amazing that I totally got lost in looking over the Mississippi river. You have to see it for yourself! Went in on a Monday afternoon, and they had a hamburger special, which I got. The burger was fairly decent and the fries were crisp and seasoned well.Our server Sandy was wonderful and attentive.The menu is limited to finger food (I guess, which is to be expected). The seating area is a little dated (probably to be expected also) and the bathrooms could definitely use some TLC.

First time at an UPSCALE WATERFRONT American Legion! :-DAlthough the decor might be worn or dated, just look out the window.Went with family on a beautiful Summer day and was really impressed by the view and the OUTSTANDING delicious food! Went for recommended Burger Monday Special. $7 (+ add'l/topping) that included parmesan fries. Old School hand pressed patties and caramelized grilled bun. WOW This is when the Locals come when the Main Street is closed pretty much on Monday.Only disappointed with quality of fountain lemonade and iced tea, (if you're the designated driver).Our sassy server Mary took great care of us. Great time had by ALL.Will definitely be back, especially for the Specials!

I always come to this place because it's always open, love supporting our veterans and the food is really really good. The price is very reasonable and the ambiance is always great. They also have the best view in the city. The servers are always so cool and down to earth as well.

Sorry to say the patio service was bad, never got to order food. Usually the food and service is good,

Waited over 45 mins for a well done burger with fries...no pickles (wife is allergic). Several tables around us were served, ate, and gone...before our burger comes MR, with pickles and no fries...smdh...

We ate here after one of our bike group members insisted we try it. From the parking lot, it looks like a dive-then you discover the patio area! It faces out towards the river & above the riverwalk. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality & cost of our lunch! The hand cut corned beef on our Rueben sandwich was excellent. It was refreshing to order a sandwich and not get a bunch of carb-filled chips or fries. Very nice views, light lunch food & service here. Worth a stop to check it out (even if you just come for a drink on the patio).

The service is excellent. The food is wonderful. We had the corned beef hash, eggs and toast. Best hash I've ever had

Everything about this Legion is really great, but I think the most outstanding thing is the wonderful waitresses and bartenders that work there. They are really nice and so helpful. I rank them as the best I've ever been involved with in my 80 years on this planet!

Nice place but the service was bad. They took orders from everyone at the table, including us, and we never got our food for more than half an hour, we waited.
