It's a great spot for a Breakfast, Lunch,Dinner! Very good food at reasonable prices and very good service. You don't have to be a Member to have a Drink or a Meal.Undoubtedly one of the Really good Bargains, I've never had a meal that wasn't hot and fresh a more than I could possibly eat! Most under 12.95!Fry's are great Tot's are great ! Taco Tuesday is great, give it a Try a Support the Men an Women that keep this Country Safe!

Been years since we last visited this place. Some things changed, but otherwise there is a familiarity; not so much in faces because let's face it, folks move and other things happen.Anyway, I'm enjoying my Guinness while we wait for our meal. One thing hasn't changed, it is still pretty noisy.Food was good, although I prefer my Ruebens made with Pumpernickel rye instead of the marbled bread. Service was good and pull tabs were a total loss!

I wouldn't have normally gone to a legion for breakfast (not sure why, just never thought to) but I got invited and I'm glad I went. I'm giving 3 stars because the Bloody Mary was sneaky good -- I'm generally really picky with my bloodies. I got the county fried steak and it wasn't bad, just a little greasy and chewy. The hash browns were good though, again, kinda greasy. For the service, our server was alright. She seemed to have little patience but was also the only server working the whole place. I'll probably go back sometime because it's fairly close to me, cheap, and like I said, the bloody was good.

We love this place so much! Great food, great specials, inexpensive food and drinks. We especially love the Thursday night meat raffles :). Whenever we go, we feel like we are back in our rural hometowns :)Hubby loves the burger, I love the drummies (best drummies I've ever had). Mexican food night is great too!

The middle stop on our whirlwind tour of Apple Valley. The Legion offers cheap taps (we again chose Fat Tire), honest pours and--at least on the night of our visit--both kinds of music (country and western). Classic family ambiance (patrons passing someones new baby back and forth across the bar), major men in mullets and blowzy drunken cougars happily coexist for your people watching amusement. Did I mention the cheap Fat Tire on tap? I really liked this place a lot, and I suspect you will too. (Bonus: Good-n-Plentys in the gumball machine by the front door.)

This is the essential legion. I went here today with my husband and my brother & sister-in-law...and I won't lie, I was a little leery at first. But after sitting down, I had no reason to be. The waitress was very friendly, extremely attentive and honestly, exactly what a legion waitress should be: just enough hot mess to make it interesting. She told jokes that could be considered offensive by some, she flirted with the much younger than herself men in our party and made sure we had continually full glasses no matter the contents. I had the Rueben (if you read my reviews, this shouldn't be a surprise)...and it was one of the top ten I've had. It was on marble rye - the best bread to build a rueben on - and had just the right ratio of meat and 'kraut. My one complaint, the thousand island was on the side. Personal preference really. I also ordered the onion petals - delicious. Deep fried, spicy and onion-y, they were great. Definitely bar food, but really great bar food. My husband had a lunch special and seemed to enjoy it, as did his brother. My sister-in-law had the French dip, and she seemed to really enjoy that.The drinks are cheap and there is an abundance of pull tabs. I would definitely visit this legion again if my brother and sister-in-law wanted to. I'm just not in the area a ton.Check it out if you're in Apple Valley and looking for great bar food, cheap drinks and a relaxed time.

Two friends wanted to meet here Friday night. Upon walking in there is an older man sitting there. I notice a guest book so I sign in. Holy Senior Citizen hangout. It is Happy Hour. Nothing sounded good on tap so I ordered a margarita. It seemed weak as I tasted no tequila. My friend and I shared loaded tots which were cheesy bacon tots and were good. Looking for 2 Gingers, no but they have Jamison. This drink was also weak. No Shocktop or Blue Moon. I had a Grain Belt Nordeast bottle. Entree I ordered was Jumbo shrimp. A good value as it came with a salad and baked potato and frozen broccoli, cauliflower and carrot medley they could have forgot about. The Shrimp were plentiful and had good cocktail sauce. Service was spotty as she was either new or busy. A patron at our table didn't like the all you can eat fish fry. Waitress took my friend's sons French fries away before he was finished. Our empty plates sat on table for a little while. Food portions good and inexpensive. Maybe stick with beer at this place. Around 8 the seniors left and a younger crowd came in. Patriotic as it is the American Legion.

Local burnout patrons not friendly to newcomers. Stopped in looking for a place to kill a little time and get something to eat for our physically and mentally disabled daughter. Place was packed and the wait would not enable us to get a table to order food for her to have with her medication. Two spots did eventually open up by the bar. We pulled back one stool and turned he so that her back was to the bar. Ordered some fries and chicken fingers thinking they would be fast. The staff was nice and her food arrived. Several minutes later we were informed that a couple patrons "one is a board member" had complained about her being at the bar. The old couple with their well drinks kept staring at us and it became very uncomfortable. It was a terrible experience so we immediately left. She was not "sitting at the bar". You learn a lot about people by how they treat those that cannot take care of themselves.

Always enjoy visiting different American Legions! The menu selection is great and reasonably priced compared to other legions. Daily specials and friendly service!
