I popped in last Friday for an early dinner. I opted for the Wet Burrito w beef. It was good considering I'm always a chicken ordering gal. Isaac took good care of me...considering the hostess seemed hesitant to seat me at a table and I think Isaac was on the patio... he didn't miss a beat; was attentive and friendly. Surprised that I was ahead of the rush so the dining room was quiet and there was no wait to get a table. Thanks Isaac for great service and Acapulco for a delicious meal... well actually about three meals w my leftovers. Cheers.

Very friendly service, not so great of food. Looks like a nice place to check out a game as they have a bunch of TVs, but don't order anything too complicated. I think they were either out of carne asada when I ordered my food or they had too much other shredded steak so they just gave me what they had. Chips and salsa were ok and I think they were free so that was good. The hostess, waiter, and busboy were all polite and friendly, so they were definitely the best part of the visit.

Our family stopped here on the way to check out the World Snow Sculpture Championship in Lowell Park this weekend and it was great! We were able to get a table for five quickly, our server even got waters out for all of us before we even had our coats off! We had three adults and two kids in our party, we ordered a variety of food off the menu in addition to some queso to enjoy with the free chips and salsa! It didn't take long for our food to come out fresh and piping hot! I got the chicken chimichanga and was pleasantly surprised they were able to make it without beans. The portion sizes were huge and we went home with about three boxes! We were also celebrating my birthday and my sisters (next Thursday) & I wasn't too sure if we could get birthday deserts since they both weren't on the exact day but our server let us each pick one off the menu!! I got the sopapias and my sister got the flan. There were so many sopapias that we could all have at least two - it also came with a small dish of caramel, chocolate, AND whip cream so everyone could make it just a little bit more special. They were all very kind and we had a really great time

First time here. We came to check out the Winter Sculpting World Championship in Stillwater. Service was great. Our server was friendly. The chips and salsa was great. I love the thinness of the chipa and the salsa was great. We were hungry so didn't get a chance to take pictures of the food and so just got a picture of our free birthday dessert flan before taking a bite.Good pricing and good amount of food. It's cool that they have a lunch menu daily until 3pm. Would recommend it if you're in Stillwater. It's a little tricky to get to the strip mall where the restaurant is located because of traffic flow. Good food, service as company!

My wife LOVES this place. That, of course, is because my wife doesn't like food with any flavor and she thinks that the pepper shaker makes things too spicy. So the bland crap they serve here is right up her alley. To make matters worse, the take-out system they have here is unreliable. I have to double-check every order before walking out as they have screwed up orders numerous times. If you enjoy "Scandinavian Mexican" food then sure, this is the place for you. But dine in - they are certainly fast and efficient and it's far easier to get things right when they screw up your order. But if you want traditional Mexican food or something with taste or spice - head to St. Paul.

Food- was disappointing. I had specifically came to try the Pozole Verde ...come to find out it is made to order, however traditional/authentic Pozole is never made to order. The pork did not taste fresh. I was glad to get a sample before actually ordering it. I ordered instead Quesabirria which today is a trending dish....tacos were good however had raw sliced jalapeño and and radish ....which is never served on a quesabirria. My mother ordered the shrimp fajita nachos...also disappointing...presentation was not there. My mother's words " the worst fajita nachos she's ever had" .Service- was good. The manager was willing to let me sample the pozole ...which was awesome.Ambiance- definitely has the traditional feel and music inside.

This is average Minnesota style Americanized Mexican food - 3 stars.Acapulco is a small chain of local Minnesota restaurants. They're like the Applebee's of Mexican joints. The 3 of us were unanimous - they aren't good and they aren't bad - just okay.I knew I wasn't going to get anything close to authentic when I saw there were no hot sauces or condiments on the tables, no Horchata, no mango juice, no lime drink, no Jarritos Mexican soda in coolers, lots of Mayo and iceberg lettuce, and last but not least, Thrash Metal style music being blasted at the bar - strange. (I like Metal, it's just a weird surrealistic choice for a Mexican restaurant.) Acapulco seems designed for an average Minnesotan that hates anything spicy and fears any extreme Latin flavors - in other words, boring food. Our selections were okay, nothing special. The best I can say is: it wasn't as bad as I feared. My giant burrito was okay. My dessert was good. Our complimentary chips were out of a box and the salsa was out of a can. After reading the hype in the menu, I was especially disappointed by the special secret "family recipe" hot cheese dip. There was nothing special about it, simply melted hot Queso Cheese. There are two positive things I can say about Acapulco. First, the prices were very reasonable. Second, the service was very good, despite being severely understaffed. It amazes me that this place always seems to be so busy. There are so many EXCELLENT Mexican joints within 5 minutes of Acapulco. For example, La Carreta is phenomenal and it's only one exit away. And there's a couple of great places downtown and a good one on the other side of the highway. As for Acapulco, I'll drive by next time. One and done.- Maxx

We were from out of town and pleasantly surprised by the delicious and generous offerings of Acapulco! The salsa served with the chips was superb, the pozole soup was unbelievable. The drinks were delicious, fun, and large pours! What's not to love

I have enjoyed eating here for many years and will continue to do so. But recently i ordered hard shelled tacos and all that was in then was chicken and shredded lettuce. I get more ingredients at fast food taco restaurants. I was disappointed. They need to add more to the tacos.
