Abrahamson Nurseries

My daughter is working on a 4-H project to improve the environment for early-migrating birds as well as how to certify one's yard for wildlife. Each time we have visited Abrahamson's this Spring, we have left with a wonderful variety of plants, shrubs, and fruit bushes that all attract different birds and/or have some benefit to wildlife.We have a few more flowers that we would like to add to the gardens. We know that there will be a well-stocked variety of perennials to choose from which makes deciding all that much harder! It is always an enjoyable visit to Abrahamson's...and even more enjoyable to see the beautiful flowers blooming at home!

Would not consider using them again. They put in $15,000 worth of landscaping at my house two years ago and I've had at least a dozen plants die. They will warranty but I have to replace them plus they don't even carry one of the plants anymore so I am screwed. There are much better companies in town.

My husband and I drove to Abramson's in Scandia based strictly on reading they carry shrubs and were open for the season. We had the best experience. The shrub selection is amazing - many unique options compared to most nurseries I've been to. The customer service was wonderful and our questions regarding soil preparation were answered very knowledgeably. We could go to nurseries closer to our home but we will return here.

Last summer I had Abrahamson's plant 26 arborvitaes in my backyard to create a privacy fence. Even after a long hard winter they look fantastic this spring. Work was completed quickly and professionally - will certainly hire again.

Dan and Greg, who we primarily worked with, were fantastic. They thoroughly reviewed the plans, cost and time involved before giving our backyard a huge makeover. Dan is a great communicator, plans were executed well, and good improvisation when needed. They worked well with a few other contractors we had to add in.

Purchased a gift certificate for my mother in May of 2011. In May of 2012 my mom wanted to use the gift certificate but could not locate it. Thinking this wouldn't be a problem she went to the store and explained she had lost the gift certifcate but had never used it and if they would look into their records they would see this. They said if you don't have the gift certificate then too bad get the H*!! out because that's not their problem. I then found the receipt and called explaining it was a mothers day present and I could verify I had pain. They then told me it's not their job to keep track of everyone gift certificates! Now I am a Business Banker and work with a lot of business and I can say YES it is their job to keep track of everyones gift certificate. Otherwise what is from stopping someone from reproducing said gift certificate and ripping off the merchant. Most companies keep a log they can match up with the certificate so they know if it has or has no been used. Well, if they can't manage such a simple thing I wouldn't trust them to plant a dandilion in my yard. Never use this company and if you do don't say you weren't warned!!!
