I have used this company to do no less then 30+ jobs. They have always given me fair pricing and stood by their quote. I have recomended them to family and friends on countless occasions. They are a second generation family company that supports Minnesota, what more could you ask for!

I am also an American Home Warranty customer (soon to be former) who got stuck with AJ Moore. Let me say this up front.... do not do business with these clowns. I am without power and after waiting all day (and telling them what was wrong) the electrician shows up, complains about having to be there, twiddles his thumbs for a half hour and then tells me it won't be covered by the warranty, and that I'll have to pay doubletime to get him to come back in 2 days to do the job! And by the way..... I'll also have to pay the $100 deductible, for him to have done nothing.I told him to stick it and hired a new electrician who came out within 2 hours of my call and got it done.I repeat.... do not do business with AJ Moore Electric or American Home Shield. They only want your money.

Like the other reviewers, horrible experience with this business. They were only interested in what was covered by HSA and nothing more. Had 2 issues, but they wanted me to do the hard work of finding a short in wires before they would correct the problem. Not interested in problem solving or electrical solutions. They recommended a wireless doorbell instead of taking the time to find the shorted wires and fix the problem. They just collect the service fee and, in my case, left me with more electrical issues than I had when I called! Never again AJ Moore nor HSA home warranty!

I too am an HSA or American Home Shield Warranty Customer. I had read the reviews when they told me AJ Moore electric was coming out to hook up my new water heater...which is a whole other issue with HSA, however, my concern is the quality of service. I do not believe AJ Moore obtained an electrical permit, which is required by state law to do the work they did. With that, the electrician who came out left his entire mess, garbage and wire pieces and scraps all over the floor around the water heater. My wife was mopping the floor and he walked through in the middle of her cleaning with muddy boots. He then had to go outside, and instead of using the mud room and side door, he walked through our living room, and tracked snow and wood chips back in on our new carpet.I actually requested an estimate for probably 5k in more work to be done, however, this sealed the deal on not hiring them personally. Oh, and icing on the cake, the electrician demanded my wide stop what she was doing to open the door for him. I am a pretty reasonable person, but this clearly was bad service.

Horrible!First, I was just going to lay blame on AHS Warranty service as being unresponsive and a waste of money. Hand in hand is AJ Moore Electric. I had a warranty through AHS to cover electrical as well as other items in my house during a home sale. You book through AHS, they line you up with a contractor, in this case AJ Moore Electric. Then you pay the trip charge (So called deductible.), then the contractor reaches out to you to set up the appointment. After not receiving a call in the specified 24 hours I called AJ Moore to set up an appointment. So far I've lost 4 days just trying to set up an appointment. Then they make an appointment 2 days later. The tech shows up and needs to check with AHS and come back another day. One day later AHS calls and says it's not covered and I'll have to make arrangements with AJ Moore. When I reach out to AJ Moore they say they can get me a quote for service 3-4 days later and make an appointment. A total of 11-12 days just to make an appointment. Thank you AHS for wasting my money and thank you AJ Moore for wasting valuable time as I'm preparing to close a house sale!

This was the electrical company my home warranty required me to use. It took 2 guys and 2 full days to come look at an issue involving lights not working. They never figured out the issue. They then told my home warranty in order to fix the problem they needed to open up my walls to fix the problem, resulting in my electrical claim being denied. I had a much more experienced electrician come out and he diagnosed the problem within 3 minutes and had it fixed for a few hundred dollars. They also do not document their work for you to keep on record, or have business cards. The guys were nice, but the fact that they told me I needed to knock into walls after 8+ hours of trouble shooting, when someone else figured out it was just an "open neutral wire in a GFI switch" seems insane.
