A&J Fish & Chicken

A good establishment for good ole fried food. Service was great and got recommended the chicken and catfish combo. I got there right before 12 and would advise you to do the same as there was a long queue shortly after. All food was made to order and came out 10-15 minutes after ordering.Fries: 10/10 - a good mix of crispy and soft fries Fish: 10/10 - well breaded. Crispy and juicy on the insideChicken: 10/10 deep fried and so crispyWithout a doubt a place I would go for some old fashioned fried food.

Yes had a few things. They told me that they would deliver within 30-45 minutes. Took them over an hour and a half. Pretty sure they used to extra time to buen the sh!$ out of my chicken, cuz every piece was burnt. They didn't bring the sides, and when I called back to check on my order, they were extremely rude to me. Ten, after tip, they charged me $35 for burnt chicken and bad service. Won't be ordering from them again.

I am in Minneapolis for a kiwanis international convention and was wondering what local cuisine to sample. Most people suggested walleye. I yelped it and A&J popped up. The walleye was delicious. The coleslaw was sweet and tasty. The wings and gizzards were amazing. The actual restaurant is small yet lively. The service was excellent. What made my experience so great were the friendly patrons there. We talked to a local pastor and he pointed out the George Floyd area and his church. Bottom line, this is a must go to.

The food is always amazing and delivered by amazing people!!Sorry I just found out they delivered after 2yrs living down the street.

Deep fry anything and it will be good...right?Well this is not necessarily the truth and A and J was a prime example.I love me some fried chicken and growing up on the Islands, fried chicken is a staple.We have these places called a "chicken shack". All they specialize in is fried chicken with French fries and roll.So they take it seriously.A and J reminded me of being back home for a minute with fried food...but the items I had lacked flavor.I ordered the A and J special which includes chicken,shrimp,fish and french fries.I had not eaten all day because I knew I wanted to try this entree.It was aight!The chicken and fish were over cooked and lacked flavor...however the shrimp were on point.The person that recommended this place to me is from the midwest...and sorry to say guys...most Midwesterners don't know how to season food or what good seasoned food taste like.A and J tried and has a good idea.I will be going back to try other stuff.Fried fish is my thing also...so I will be going back to try the Walleye and perch.

Yes please! We ordered online and it was delivered through grub hub, food was AWESOME. I'm from the south and love fried chicken livers also was raise on fried okra, both of which were delicious, super hot and fresh when they arrived. I will definitely be ordering again while we're in the cities. My daughter got the tilapia and she said it was really good, portions are a big size and I felt like I definitely got my money's worth. I was also pleased to receive a fried chicken heart in my dinner!!!

Good food and nice portions for the price. Didn't take that long for my food to come out either

The chicken was very dry, as for the fries were soggy and cold, and the bread they served with my food were also soggy, the service was nice .everyone was kind the store is in a great part of the neighborhood that deserves more recognition for its beauty but the overall restaurants food wasn't as impressive as you'd hope.

horrible customer service when I called they asked for my number they didn't give me a time of when my order will be ready and also didn't call me when the order was ready. When I arrived,20 minutes later, during my lunch break ,I asked for my order they said oh that was a long time ago. I told them how I didn't receive a call or a time when my order will be ready. they told me I have to wait 10 minutes and that they gave my order away, I do not recommend .
