This is a hidden gem among the Asian markets in the Twin Cities. The deli food is amazing with a wide variety of choices, most are Laos and Thai's food. Some dishes are spicy, but I love that heat fom the food. Different types of desserts that are colorful and so tempting!! I love the pork sausages and beef stew curry, both are really yummy. Moreover, the price is very reasonable, and you can get a combo for $4.99 with two choices of meat and rice (yum!!) On the market side, though they don't have a lot of veggie choices, the frozen and canned food section are always filled up with different foods from different countries! And all looks new and fresh too! Plus, they kept everything clean, which make me feel so comfortable while shopping! Totally recommended! :)

This place is amazing. They have so many gluten free options and the Thai prepared food is delicious. Reasonably priced. A little piece of paradise in St. Paul.

I have to say 88 Oriental Market, got home feelings of Laos . The food they make bring back so many good memories. Loas, beef jerky, jeo bong Xiengkhuang, jeo bong Vientiane, and other pastry are so darn good . BPeoples are nice and friendly to communicate. Places are clean and no bad smells at all. Other supermarkets you walk into you can smell off the bat of fishy or other bad odors. 88 Oriental Market, keep up your great work and thank you for supporting the community!!!

Straight up hidden gem in the middle of Frogtown. I can't tell you how many times I have driven past this place and not even noticed it but after going there for the first time, has grown on me so much over the past few months. There is a deli in the back of the grocery store and it has the best fresh made Thai food and dessert. It isn't the typical thai menu with stuff like pad thai and sweet mango and sticky rice, instead, it's home made staples that use fresh and simple ingredients. It's owned by a Thai family and so the kids stock and work the front, the dad chills, and the mom cooks in the back. They have great papaya salad, pork belly, grilled pork skewers, desserts, and a variety of daily specials. The snack choices are fun and unique and always being rotated so if you're a snack foodie, this is the place for you. It's worth checking out if you want to search for new and fun products, but also reliable for the basics of southeast asian cooking.

So, the lady was preparing to make me a papaya salad. She puts gloves on. She threw in the dry ingredients. She starts pounding...... then ...... went to the sink and blew her nose!...... with gloves on!...... Then........ she washed her hands with the gloves on! (did not change gloves). When she return, I wanted to tell her to forget about it, but she had already started and I didn't want to be rude so I didn't say anything. When she went to grab a handful of papaya to put in the mortar I nearly puke. I threw it away of course!

The lady who is older and speaks Burmese have such a nasty attitude for no reason. I didn't understand what question she asked me so I answered wrong, then she rolled her eyes at me.

Great authentic Thai deli that consists of mostly the same thing everyday. Has a variety of different types of food and cooking supplies. I've been coming to this store since 2012, only disappointment is the occasionally sold out hot fresh food but I'm sure it's just because others got to it before me.

Modest sized grocery store with a small parking lot (probably fits about 10 cars) that contains both asian groceries as well as a small hot deli area. You can probably get most of your Chinese/Vietnamese/Laos type of groceries that you desire from here. Of note, they do seem to carry an extensive selection of asian instant ramens, so if you're looking for those spicy ramen to burn your mouth, this is the spot.I did not sample the hot deli in the back of the store, but it does seem like there is a modest selection there.

The staff treated people according to their races. Always extremely rude to Asian customers.
