Food is amazing, restaurant is very nice and loved the ambiance of it. Worth a trip to Chicago from Tennessee just for the food haha. Would be a regular date night spot if it wasn't so far. Have gone twice and hope it will be a regular every time we are in Chicago. They have all kinds of food, very interesting and authentic items, this girl is not ready to try, but many more well known dishes we loved. Look forward to being in the area again so we can stop by for some yummy food. Very authentic and the service is top notch. They bring their A game every time.

Good place to grab a quick biteApparently they are popular for their domain, but we just got their Chinese broccoli and stir fried noodles. Both were good but were lacking a bit in flavor. I really enjoyed the broccoli after adding some salt/soy sauce

Never trust internet strangers people say.....and i agree. especially for food recommendations. this place was kinda like an asian cheesecake factory. For one, the service was crazy fast!! I was honestly really impressed, if you are looking for a quick meal but also want to sit down i would recommend. Honestly though, all of the dishes we ordered were kinda just middle of the road. My favorite by far was the fried chicken on the stick, but even that wasn't really wowing me. The General Tao's Chicken was not really as advertised. It was not spicy at all :( and i'm white!! there's not really crazy expectations in that department. And i don't mean this to be rude, but i really felt like panda express could have done a better job with their chicken then here. everything else listed in the photo was just okay, nothing really crazy at all and honestly i kind of left with a little bit of a stomach ache. overall i probably wouldn't go here just because there are so many amazing asian cuisine spots in chicago and this just isn't one.

I ordered the chicken and snow peas and an order of baked pork buns. It was almost $30. The order of snow peas had more snow peas than any I have ever received at any restaurant, and the sauce was the best tasting I can remember!! So 5 stars for that! The pork buns were fairly average, nothing special. I recall as a kid some 60 years ago they used to be 2 or 3 times the size they are now and dirt cheap. Why are they so tiny now? Fast service by staff.

A modern and clean dim sum spot! They have a digital menu with pictures so it makes it so easy to order! They have solid dim sum, generous portions, and a pretty good spread of items offered. Really good Cantonese dishes! They have a dinner menu as well but I haven't tried it yet!

Minghin was a great choice to find something warm and hearty on a cold day. We tried a couple dishes and the portions were huge- chow mein (5/5) I had never had thin noodles with toss dish but it was the tastiest of the three we ordered and we loved it- Kung Bao Chicken (4/5) I'm not usually a fan of peanuts in my food but it added a lot of great flavor and texture. This also comes with a small side of rice. I was hoping for something spicier- veggie fried rice (3/5): I felt that this lacked salt and general flavor. I liked that there was egg added in and the quantities are huge.Service was minimal, because we ordered on an iPad and didn't really interact with the waiter.

Comforting and reliable Dim Sum. Baby bok choy with garlic and beef tripe are great. Good price and fast service. Environment is standard.

We made it to the South Loop location of MingHin (with the easy to remember address of 1234 S Michigan Ave, just south of Roosevelt) on a late Saturday afternoon. We had places to go afterwards, so we booked a 5PM reservation for 4 people. Everything was handled efficiently, including our ordering of dim sum items on a tablet. Even though the ordering process was a bit automated and cold, someone was checking in on our table throughout our dining experience. We were always supplied with hot tea and ice water. We ordered seven different items, and everything was tasty and came out promptly. Our selections - flaky BBQ pork turnovers, sticky rice, siu mai, pan fried corn and pork cake (more of a dumpling than a cake!), shrimp dumpling with green chive, fried crabmeat and seaweed roll, and stir-fried flat noodles with beef - offered a nice variety of tastes and textures for our group.

Honestly was really disappointed in the shrimp fried rice. It was bland. There was barely any fixings. It was fried rice, shrimp and a heavy handed amount of bean sprouts. Like I've never seen so many bean sprouts in a fried rice before. I won't be coming back here at all as this is just how they prepare their fried rice period. As I had the same experience from the one out in the suburbs. Waste of money.
