As someone who is incredibly discerning when it comes to Chinese takeout, Ming Hing has become our undisputed go-to spot. While it may be on the pricier side compared to other options, the exceptional quality of the food makes it worth every penny. From the first bite, it's clear that Ming Hing is in a league of its own.The dumplings are a standout feature - delightfully fluffy and bursting with flavor, they're like little pockets of joy. And let's talk about the sauce - it's the perfect accompaniment, elevating the dumplings to new heights of deliciousness. As for the crab rangoons, they're nothing short of perfection - crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and packed with generous amounts of crab filling. In summary, Ming Hing has set the bar high for Chinese takeout. Despite the higher price point, the unbeatable food quality and impeccable flavors keep us coming back for more. If you're craving authentic, top-notch Chinese cuisine, look no further than Ming Hing. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Located very closely to Millenium Park! A bit hidden away, but a very spacious restaurant that's great for groups. My cousin told me this was ome of her favorites, and I can see why :) A cool spot to checkout while in Downtown Chicago.Egg Drop Soup with Straw Mushroom (4/5): A little bland, but big portions for the price! They don't skimp on the mushrooms too. A pretty comforting soup that started our meal.Roast Pork Belly (5/5): SOOOO JUICY! I loved this. Thick cuts of pork. Good quality and the skin is crispy too. I think that this was a big highlight of my meal. Tea & Tea (5/5): The bartender has a HEAVY HAND and I'm here for it. They didn't skimp on the alchol in this. It reminded me of a massive green tea shot or a midori sour. Great drink!Chicken Feet with Special Sauce (5/5): The sauce was really tasty! Each chicken foot was tender and well steamed. Savory and each piece soaked up all the flavor! Probably the best item on the menu!Rice Noodle Rolls (3/5): These noodle rolls were too thick for me :( I wish that they were thinner and highlighted the contents inside more. The shrimp was cooked well and the Youtiao soaked up the sweet soy sauce perfectly. Just a bummer about the noodles.

Food was delicious! The restaurant looks unappealing and empty from the outside, but once inside it is actually expansive and busy! We were seated in front of a beautiful view out onto the river walk. Would recommend all that we ate!My only disappointment was a lack of attention from the server - all the ordering took place on an iPad and it was a challenge to get the waiters attention.

An interesting place, nicely decorated, large and spacious inside, will definitely accommodate large groups. Menu is located on a tablet which is given to you once you are situated at a table (I can see how inconvenient this might be for a large group). Menu contains dim sum and traditional Chinese sections. I got crab meat corn soup first - it arrived super hot (temperature). There were literally 5 tiny shreds of the crab meat and the same number of the corn kernels in the cup, and the texture was almost chewy, really thick. Not a great soup in my opinion. The rest of my dinner was from the dim sum selection. Siu Mai dim sum was good, and so was sticky rice, even though the meat content of the sticky rice was strange (piece of a hotdog???). I also had a pan fried vegetable roll, and that was a very strange concoction. The wrapper, which was some sort of vegetable, was mostly resembling the cardboard. It was almost impossible to bite, and given an absence of the knife, this was truly the strangest Chinese dish I ever tried. Service was okay overall, however, I have a gripe. Once a large party left, a waiter was cleaning up the table. The loud, almost purposeful clanking of the dishes was going on for a good few minutes, making the restaurant experience really annoying. I don't know if that boy was angry at life or the dishes, but this was not good. No recommendation here.

This is the location right across the street from Maggie Daley Park. It's located in a neighborhood so millennial park garage may be your best bet for parking. The menu here is smaller than the Chinatown location although quality is comparable. The service is quick. They don't take reservations and holidays get packed pretty fast.

Minghin is the highest rated dimsum house in downtown Chicago for a very good reason. The food is delicious, the service is efficient. This was may husband's first dimsum experience and it didn't disappoint. We loved the Shumai, shortrib, and fluffy pork bun (Chashur bao)

Ordered takeout at Ming Hin and ate it right outside the restaurant. The staff seemed friendly and inviting. The food was good for the most part. The pork was a bit tough, maybe I was biting on tendon or something? Not sure, but overall the taste was good. Outdoors was a really nice area to sit and indoor there was a lot of opening seating and I'd imagine it would be a nice spot for a dinner.

We were downtown and wanted to get a bite of food. Parking was already paid for so opted for Chinese. I have been wanting to try this establishment. I always see trusted Yelp elites going to eat at this location and so I had it saved in my phone for a while. On this night we did not have a reservation and arrived proximally about 7:30 PM on a Friday evening. We were promptly set at a table when the main lobby. I will say that I really enjoy the food, the price is, and the ambiance. On this evening the restaurant probably was 40% full. They just extended their hours to 10 PM and so maybe that's why it wasn't that packed. This restaurant is located in the same building as Mariano's on the fourth level. There is parking attached to the Mariano's however I'm not sure if the restaurant will give you validation. We started out with a cocktail, I got the Mai Tai which was good and my husband got the Long Island iced tea. Overall those were ok they weren't poured very heavy which can sometimes be disappointing when you like a stiff drink on a Friday night. For appetizers we got the barbecue bun and the crab rangoons. I enjoyed both of those my husband was not wild by the barbecue buns. For our main meal selection I ordered the garlic beef which was served with plenty of onions red and green peppers and some type of black bean sauce. I enjoyed this dish however I thought it was very heavy on the vegetables and that probably need a little bit more beef sirloin. Ultimately my husband got his go to Chinese dish, which is orange chicken. I got to try some of the orange chicken and it was flavored very well and featured a lot of white breast meat. Overall this dish was very yummy and the sauce was not heavy. We enjoyed our experience at this fine establishment and will return in the near future. I like this little section of the loop. I think the neighborhood is called Lake Shore East which is super cute. Only reason I gave this a 4 out of 5 stars is because ordering was a little wonky. They have these apple tablets at all tables however you can only look at the menu and select things but ultimately a server has to finalize your order. I felt like the service at this restaurant while fast was a little lacking. For instance, we tried to order crab rangoons but the ipad was gone. We flagged down one server and asked. Item didn't come. Found another server and he put our order in. First server either didn't understand or didn't put in our order. So seemed to be a slight language barrier but the food is really good and I don't think that should distract you from checking this location out. Major plus is that they have dim sum all night.

Good, authentic chinese food. This restaurant has a couple of locations. I've tried this one, Streeterville, and Chinatown. The quality and flavor is consistent, but the Chinatown location is slightly better. However, they are all good. They also have vegan options, which is a plus! Their service has always been good for both dine-in and takeout.

My boyfriend and I came in on a Sunday night for dinner and it wasn't very busy as it was kind of late. The service was very friendly and attentive! We ordered two entrees and two personal sized soups, but we had plenty of leftovers (great for a late night snack for us!) The dishes are large enough to share so unless you're feeling pretty hungry and/or want leftovers, you can probably scale back the ordering amount. We were big fans of the chicken fried rice! Soups were also nice, hot, and thick -- perfect for the windy weather outside. The scallion and ginger chicken was pretty decent too, but we both agreed the fried rice was the star of the show. The staff gave us an iPad to order with. Hot tea and water were automatically served, as well as some fortune cookies and almond cookies at the end. Highly recommend if you're looking for some comforting Chinese food in Chicago. One thing to note is that the street address for this place is a little confusing. It's off of upper Randolph, which might be different from GPS directions.
