I've been to Min Sok Chon for late night drinks since they are open until 2am. The drinks are typically what I come here for, specifically the soju towers!I cannot say much about the food since I've only tried their bulgogi carne asada fries but they are SO DELICIOUS. It is served in a pretty big portion (you can share it with 2-5 people depending on how hungry you all are), but I always get my own order because they are just that good.Again, the ambiance of Min Sok is a night time bar where you can drink and catch up with friends. I've heard of the karaoke rooms but haven't tried them. The parking lot tends to be busy since it shares a lot with prime grill kbbq, somi somi, etc. so you may find yourself parking far or if you're willing to take some stairs, there's a parking lot in the back that usually doesn't fill up unless it's late night on the weekend.I'm not giving this place 5 stars since they aren't really known for their food options, usually drinks are the selling point here.

This is one of our favorite Korean restaurants in SD. Hubs and I generally don't go to a place more than once, but we have come back many times and have brought our friends with us on different occasions. They have all enjoyed it! A go to is always the japchae which is always tasty. The bulgogi comes out steaming and is perfect with steamed rice. The banchan (side dishes) go well with the entrees as well. The fried dumplings had a good amount of meat inside which was a nice surprise (simply because this doesn't always happen). The ambiance makes it feel like I'm back in Korea. We were there around 5:30p on a Sunday most recently and our friends were a bit surprised that they were playing louder edm music. Their mango soju is a bit sweeter, but I appreciate that they use rice based soju and not vodka based soju like a lot of other places on convoy. The service was great and of course we love the buttons on the table for water/bill/service.

absolutely one of my favorite spots for Korean in san diego! they open at 5 and the parking gets crowded FAST. the kimchi and seafood pancake is the best. lots of seafood packed in with the perfect balance of kimchi, and it's so crispy and filling without being soft or thick. their chicken wings are also yummmm, great batter and sauces. yogurt flavored soju is the best! the large pitcher during happy hour is a great deal (30% off) and tastes soooo good. dangerous stuff!

What a great place. The booths are super cozy. All the food is great. And you can get private room karaoke in the same place. Could you ask for more? I will be back. Service can be a little slow if they're busy. They take reservations for karaoke but not for dining. It was pretty empty on a Wednesday night when I went around 7. We didn't have problem getting a table for dining. A

Min Sok is always my go to late night chill spot. If looking to hangout and drink with friends, I always recommend here due to the music and ambience. Food and drinks are always a hit and service is pretty decent. Affordable pricing and variety. The only thing is parking is a hassle.

The food is so good! The service is okay depending on the night but the music is just ridiculously loud. This place is for the abg's, college frat boys, and sorority girls. If the soup wasn't so yummy I'd never come here. If you like EDM, cocktails or bottle service, and karaoke then this is place is definitely your vibe. Today I tried the kimchi jjigae, beef bone broth soup, and side dishes. The side dishes were pretty good but very small. The kimchi jjigae with tteokbokki is my new go to at Min Sok if I'm craving something after hours.

Min Sok Chon is the place to be in Convoy for Korean-inspired drinks and dishes. It is not the place to be for the older crowd (no offense to myself). Pros - They have an extensive drink menu. The service (from the cashiers, servers, bartenders, security guards, and owner) is top tier. This is a great spot for large groups. We spent around $560 after 22% gratuity for a work party of about 10 of us. Cons - The blasting EDM music can either be your thing or your nightmare. Korean food in SD is generally expensive, and Min Sok is no exception. Nothing here screams excellence.Bottom line - This is a classic spot in Convoy to drink with friends and have a good time. 4.3/5 ~

Favorite was definitely fried rice and corn cheese and galbi and area 51 shoju. Fried rice had so much mixed that added the flavors. And it was such a treat to get a flaming birthday shot. Unfortunately the bulgogi was dry and the women's restroom stall was messy and cannot lock. Still Id comeback for that fried rice

First time going in this place even though I'm always at convoy.. after going to Six Flag, kiddos are very hungry, but almost every ayce korean bbq in close by the time we got to san diego and this place is open until 2am so we go and try it.. 1st, the fried rice we order kimchi fried rice and seafood, their both good not that greasy and not dry. Kimchi fried rice tastes a little different. Seafood fried rice is good.Galbi bbq is tender, a little bit pricey, and small portion for the price that they ask.Bulgogi is ok. They put a lot of onion on the bottom and then put the meat on top and around it so it looks alot. They just need to serve more meat than the onion. The bibimbap is all veggies. I think they just put a little bit of meat to decorate it almost nothing. All the veggies are big slice to hide the meat..The place is ok, the dim light though I think I want to see more of what I'm eating to see what in there.. The only thing that I really like is the deep-fried gizzard. Crunchy and not greasy love the sauce. The corn cheese is so so, needs more cheese..The bathroom needs special attention to be clean more often.. I don't know if it's because it's 11pm already, that the bathroom is super dirty, that toilet paper is everywhere when you go inside.. but this is a restaurant, so I think it should always be clean, especially when you go out there's a table right away.

Min Sok Chon is a classic place to eat if you and a group of friends are craving Korean food on Convoy. With unlimited complimentary rice and sides, you're sure to walk out of here stuffed! I especially enjoyed the gizzards and pork bone jungol, but I would advise against getting the fries for the price!Additionally, the vibe here is immaculate and they offer karaoke rooms that you can rent out for your party.
