Mimoza Mediterranean Restaurant

Had a fantastic dinner at Mimoza! Great ambiance, quiet with good chill music. Service was very attentive.We enjoyed the Cheese Burek with Ayran and followed that up with Grilled Kofte which were very flavorful and moist. We ate that with a side of pita with tzatziki which complemented the kofte quite well. The rice was surprisingly well prepared with a pleasant texture.For dessert we tried the Kazandibi, a sort of milky flan, with some Turkish Tea which paired quite nicely.A thoroughly enjoyable dessert experience, would definitely try to come back next time I'm in San Diego

Went here for a celebratory dinner and was very disappointed with the service. Unfortunate because the food was okay. Our waitress was extremely rude. She ignored us multiple times as we asked politely for assistance (asking for water) and she rolled her eyes multiple times at our group and gave us a lot of attitude. We all hadn't experienced service as terrible as that before. There are many other great restaurant options in East Village. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone after our experience.

Get a clue folks! Notice all the 5-star reviews are by "customers" for whom this is their first or nearly their first review. I've found that the more details in a review, the more likely it is legitimate. The less details and more general it is, the more likely it's a fake! The use of the word "amazing", especially when used more than once, is a reliable tip off that either the reviewer is not an actual customer, or that the person is not too bright. Either way, their advice counts for nothing. Fake reviews almost always happen at the direction of the restaurant owners. People who do this are cheaters. I avoid their businesses. I visited this business for dinner. Found it overpriced for the quality of their offerings. Won't be back.

Food is 5/10 and a bit bland with not much spices. It is good overall if you want to try Americanized Arabic food, it is however not the most authentic in the area. The rice is 10/10 and the best tasting rice I ever tried. All my friends agreed on that.Service is great and efficient. I would come here again only with my American coworker or friends.

A beautiful spot with lots of natural light and an excellent happy hour! Service was kind, and we enjoyed the dips, pita, falafel, and kebab. Portions for happy hour are smaller but still great for a late lunch and we especially liked getting to try the ezme which was a nice walnut based spread.

In an effort to treat my husband to a memorable birthday dinner, I chose Mimoza in downtown San Diego, drawn by its reputation for Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant's upscale and aesthetically pleasing ambiance set the stage for what I hoped would be a delightful evening. The eclectic mimosa menu caught our attention, and we all decided on the lavender-flavored option, which proved to be a unique and enjoyable choice.While the presentation of our dishes, a falafel wrap for me and Chicken Shish kebab for my husband, was visually appealing, the taste left much to be desired. Unfortunately, the falafel in my wrap seemed stale, diminishing the overall dining experience. Despite informing the staff that we were celebrating a special occasion, there was a lack of acknowledgment or well-wishing, which added a touch of disappointment to the evening. We also got the trio hummus dip, and that was made well.Overall, Mimoza's ambiance and eclectic mimosa offerings created a promising backdrop, but the lack of freshness in the food and the indifferent service left me wishing I had selected a different venue for my husband's birthday celebration. It's disheartening when the potential for a fantastic dining experience falls short, particularly on such a significant occasion.

We really didn't like this place. Service was very poor and the food didn't taste good. Their prices are pretty high but they are not able to deliver the corresponding taste and quality. I was very disappointed because I was expecting much more. Not happy.

Food was great here- our server mentioned we ordered most of the go it items from the menu.Cilantro and jalapeño hummus as the starter! AMAZING- definitely try this one! You get a good amount of pita bread too!I tried the mango mimosa and loved the presentation and taste! They have a ton of flavors to pick from too!Lamb Kebob & Doner Kebob for entreesAnd pistachio baklava for dessertcame in on a pretty mellow night so service was fast in the beginning but definitely slowed down toward the end of our meal. Overall I would come back again!

We came here on Tuesday, September 26th for lunch with family.The food was delicious and fresh.Ambiance was beautiful.Customer service was great.Ordered:1. Cilantro and Jalapeno Hummus with basket of pita - Simply delicious2. Falafel Wrap3. Fried Falafel 4. Chicken Wrap with fries 5. Chicken Shish Kebab with rice and saladWe ordered all of our dishes from the lunch menu. Falafel was freshly made and delicious. Chicken was very tender and flavorful. Highly recommend this Turkish Mediterranean restaurant!

Amazing restaurant, amazing food, amazing atmosphere with a very friendly staff. I would give this 10/10 and I suggest anyone who's visiting or lives in San Diego should come give this spot a visit. You will be back and so will I!
