Mimi's Zero Waste Market

I love this place and what they stand for! Everything is reasonably priced, useful, well designed and the website is very intuitive. I have products from here right by my kitchen sink (where I spend way too much time!) and it's always a reminder for me to try to live simply and not waste. Thank you!

It's great having a bulk, zero-waste store like Mimi's in town where I can easily use my own containers to buy spices, flours, grains, etc. They also offer environmentally friendly kitchen supplies (dishwasher powder, scrubbers), bath stuff (razors, shampoo and conditioner bars), dental hygiene (bamboo floss), etc. I wish places like Mimi's were more common and located in my neighborhood, but I am more than happy to drive (electric) and support such a wonderful shop!

Lack of a fifth star is simply due to lack of parking on the street - busy 15th Ave NW - the store-front entrance. The shop is quaint, sweet, beautiful and earth-friendly. They carry a little bit of most anything you could want, especially a large selection of loose leaf teas.We were so happy to see baking supplies, stainless steel containers, conditioner (and shampoo) bars, Castile soap and much more. We will definitely be back and look forward to refilling our reusable containers.

I love this shop! They have cleaned, donated glass jars brought in by the community if you forget your own container. Their inventory is inexpensive and they have unique options such as rose and lavender you can cook with! I buy my toothpaste, floss, flour, rice, teas and refills on most spices here. Looking forward to refilling on Castile soap and lentils. They also have oxygen based detergent which is so helpful for removing stains naturally. Berenice and Heather always offer a warm welcome! We love their organic bulk section. Everyone we've encountered working at the store has been incredibly helpful. Also, being on the email list allows us to get updates about the inventory and plan for our next Mimi's run. We've been especially pleased with the quality of seasonings, dried goods, and toiletries. We also appreciate that we can bring in our jars to be reused or leave them for the free jar library. Mimi's really is zero waste and we are glad to have them in the neighborhood.

The proprietors are super helpful and they have an extensive selection of goods in their cozy shop. Definitely worth adding to the list of stops on the grocery shop train! I've never had a problem finding nearby parking, but you have to come prepared to street park. They also host fun pop ups from local makers - so lucky to have this shop in the neighborhood!!
