Yee Peggy Emperor's Kitchen

Another fantastic lunch today, shrimp with lobster sauce and an egg roll. YumBest part is I'm sitting here listening to classic rock on the restaurant speakers which makes the experience so much better.The food is so good here that it's a weekly stop on my lunch circuits.If you like great tasting food, stop in and give it a try.

The service was abismal, didn't like how we were greeted and the way the older Asian man approached us. Asking us if we could get out of there by 8:00 pm since they were closing but we came in at 7:20 pm. There were lots of other people eating as well. We then had a rude server get mad at us when we asked to just to takeout since we weren't interested in staying after being greeted that way. Not to mention we felt uncomfortable and rushed. She spoke to us condescending then took our water angrily away. She told us to go to the front and that we couldn't sit there since we weren't eating in. Ambience sucks and honestly there are way better Chinese restaurants and American ones. Definitely will go to Bullwinkles or other establishments.

OMG! Worst Experience Ever!We went back to Emperor's Kitchen, where the food was usually really good. I always get the Sesame Chicken, but this time, it lacked not only flavor but also light when normally the color is dark, rich, savory, and visually appealing. The quality has gone downhill, and I was extremely disappointed. I didn't say anything to our waitress regarding my disappointment, but I did mention how horrible my assistant's meal was. My producer's meal was Chicken with Pea Pods, which came out cold; it appears this meal was prepared before all the other meals we received were, she took one bite and said that she couldn't eat it. Another person who was in our group said that her meal was just ok with no further comments, but she did say that she wouldn't be a return customer after frequenting this establishment for many years prior. When telling the waitress that the meal was cold and she didn't want it, the waitress called the manager over; he appeared to be a family member of the owners, but I had never seen him before. He approached us and asked what the problem was. My producer explained, and he replied that he would go reheat it, and my producer said she wasn't hungry anymore. He then picked up her "cold" plate and threw it in the garbage right in front of us (garbage can by the front counter). He then came back and grabbed the bowl of rice, which was served separately, at which time I said I would take the rice rather than him throwing it out, and he said "NO" and proceeded to throw it out. I was going to pay for the extra rice; I don't want something for nothing. Even when I review restaurants, I refuse to be compensated; I don't want to feel obligated to give good reviews just because I didn't pay for something. Upon paying for the meals, the "MANAGER" was very mean, the waitress, owner, and he were talking in Chinese and all looking at us in disgust. I won't be going back to Emperor's Kitchen. This place has gone downhill, and it's so sad because I used to love this place, it was my go-to for Chinese food, but not anymore.

Always Delish! I have been a customer for 15 years and they have the best food- there is no comparison- courteous friendly and very hospitable - and the ambiance is awesome as it is on the second floor and you can always get a clear window view below while enjoying your dinner- I recommend Emperor Kitchen 8 out of 10

This is the first time that we have ordered from EK in Brookfield in quite some time and the food didn't taste as we are used to. We will stick with Feng's in Pewaukee on Silvernail. Beef and broccoli had a weird smell and didn't taste that great and the chicken fried rice was missing something as well.

We ordered carry out, so we didn't quite get that served-at-the-table freshness. But, with that, our food was excellent.I got the Chicken Hong Sue. It was something I hadn't seen before (chicken, dipped in batter, and fried). The amount of food I got was incredible! Easy to make two meals out of it. For the money, it's a fantastic deal. The flavor was excellent.I would have no issues eating here again - it's on my list!

Updating my prior review. Emperor's Kitchen has become our go to for Chinese food in the area recently. Their food has improved greatly in the past several years with our favorites being their Egg Rolls, Shrimp Egg Foo Young and Pepper Chicken.

The best Chinese food around! We have enjoyed Emperor's Kitchen for several years. The chicken dishes are my favorite: sweet and sour, cashew and sesame. Don't forget to try an egg roll or the fried wonton. Everything is served warm and fresh and the portions are generous.

Food was good! Service was quick. We went on a Friday night and it was busy in there.

What an AMAZING meal! Food was EXCELLENT,,, I haven't had Chinese in a while and am very particular on the food I do get... Emperor's Kitchen did NOT Disappoint!!!!! I usually never get the spice level I'm looking for and the owner made sure to accommodate my needs,,, thanx Charlie The look, the feel, and just all around energy was good!!! I highly recommend 10 outta 10!!!!! I will be back, and recommending to all my friends and family
