Wooden Nickel Inn

Stop in for a good time and great food! They have many things on the menu that are excellent. This is not typical bar food at all, we live 45 minutes away and still make it a regular stop. Their Philly sandwich is fantastic. The pizza is also very good. Friday fish fries are remarkably good, my favorite is the huge walleye they serve. Tracy and the rest of the staff are a blast. They have just the right ratio of excellent service combined with smart ass wisecracks. You feel welcome right away, you will wish they were located in the corner near your house so you could come all the time. Last but not least, they have the most comfortable bar stools with backs I have sat in ever. Casino chairs designed to make it easy to stay and play aren't this nice. It's a good thing because you will want to hang around. Definitely check the Nickel out!
