Wine Maniacs Wine Bar & Bistro

This place is ALWAYS amazing but tonight I had the best burger I've ever had in Wisconsin. The slightly sweet brioche bun paired so well with the salty, smokey bacon jam and the absolutely perfectly cooked and seasoned patty. The bun to burger ratio is always the most important aspect of a good burger and it was perfect. The picture doesn't do it justice. The service is always top notch as well! I live in California wine country and the wine recommendations here are always phenomenal as well. Literally everything I've eaten here is absolutely delicious. Go.

This evening my boyfriend and I were meandering in downtown Oconomowoc and decided to stop in Wine Maniacs for dinner. Let me tell you it was the best decision we had made all day! Our server was James who was informative and friendly! He started us off with a few sweeter wines that we showed interest in. He hit the nail on the head, we loved the Moscato he recommended. We skipped appetizers and went right to the main course.My boyfriend had the lamb lollypop and I had the House Pasta which included my favorite food pesto! The entree was delicious, my boyfriend left nothing behind. James also brought wine for our dinner to pair with our food. It was so nice the tester wine we were offered before committing to a whole glass. I appreciate how informative and friendly James was!James told us a little bit about himself like how he worked in the corporate work place before working full time at this restaurant. He truly has a passion for wine and is doing a great job! James deserves a raise! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some delicious food and wine. I appreciated the informative servers and them being able to seat us right away without a reservation. 10/10

Incredible service, wines, charcuterie board, and pastas!Wow, yes this is a 5 star wine bar with an Italian restaurant. Must try and return place. I'll definitely return when I visit my parents.

This place was wonderful, the staff really attentive and welcoming. The food was top notch, the Risotto was perfect. The drinks were great, had a Spotted Cow and it was perfect with my meal. Try this place out, it's not just wine, it's sooo much more. The atmosphere was quaint and lots of room to stretch out and relax with great friends.

Stopped in to Wine maniacs and sat at the bar, what a bunch of knowledgeable fun and friendly employees! They gave us wine suggestions and they were tasty with an excellent charcuterie board. Very relaxing place to have for a couple of hours.

Mixed feelings about this one. Food was phenomenal! Service was friendly. But masks are optional in this establishment. Starting with food. We ordered the broccoli and cheese soup which was lighter than your traditional Midwest version. I enjoyed this modification because it didn't leave you full for your next items. We also got the root beer sliders which were so heckin' delicious. I want to go back and get two orders or the full meal they were so juicy and delicious. Would highly recommend the lamb lollipops. They're easily some of the best lamb I have had. Just the right amount of food. Lastly for desert we had to go with the only item available at the time, which were the truffles. And they were pretty tasty! Wouldn't recommend them for the price but no regrets ordering them. Service was good! I'm our server was nice, attentive and had good recommendations. Only downside to this place is that masks are entirely optional. We were the only two people wearing them. The server asked but she wasn't wearing them for any other table or while mixing drinks so kinda felt like a wash if she was breathing over our drinks anyway. All in all, I will definitely go back but not until the pandemic starts to falter.

In town with friends and we stopped here for lunch. We knew people that had been there for dinner and they liked it so we gave it a try, big disappointment. Our waiter was friendly and let us know if we had any questions to let him know, problem was he couldn't answer any of our questions, then he told us he's just the Saturday guy so he doesn't know about all the wines, fair enough but them don't encourage us to ask. He also told us they have a full bar of wine isn't your jam, but a full bar doesn't mean you can get the drink you want. Apparently a big selling point here is they have wine on tap, sorry but wine doesn't belong on tap, it changes the flavor. You can still get some wines by the bottle but for a wine bar I was disappointed in a wine list that was pretty lacking in choices. The food is pricy for what you get, the hummus appetizer is good and clearly homemade but they don't give you enough pita chips and what you do get are dry and stale tasting. We all had the soup and salad lunch with the chicken pesto panini, it was flavorless and I had a hard time finding any pesto on it. I had the pistachio salad and it was just okay, lettuce had seen better days and the dressing had no flavor. The two people that had the pear salad last said the same thing. When you tell me you are a farm to table bistro, it sets up the expectation everything will taste fresh and this was not our experience. Overall, the food is mediocre and pricy for what you get, disappointing wine list considering it's a wine bar. I wouldn't go back and I don't recommend.

Delicious food. We ate every bite! Service was above and beyond.We sat in a side room that was quieter and a little more private.We'll be back!

My husband and I enjoyed the romantic atmosphere, our service was impeccable and the food was most delicious. But the price was absolutely ridiculous!!!!!! Here, in Lake Country, there are other eateries with romantic surroundings, courteous staff and fine food that is less costly. We doubt we will return.

Great service, great wine, cozy atmosphere. Enjoyed the pistachio salad with shrimp and their curry soup while my wife tried the walnut pasta. Both plates were excellent, and hit the mark. Glad our original choice was closed this evening and we walked over here... well worth it!!
