Wilson Farm Meats

What a great find, new to the area and stumbled across this little gem. The people who work here are so kind and friendly, the ladies were anyways. Bought bone in ribeye steaks they were thick and delicious. Meat sticks were absolutely DELICIOUS. Cheese curds and sauces, so much to pick from. So glad to be back in the Midwest for these kinds of places.

Stopped in after a visit in Elkhorn after seeing their electric sign showing a sale on ribs. I must say that I was thankful this evening at dinner as the rack was one of the best that I have had in some time. They had enough fat to be tasty but they were not floating in grease as you often get from the supermarket. We will be back.

Maybe "country" people know that a cured ham from this market needed to be eaten within 7 days of buying but i did not. No expiration date on the ham to give anyone a clue. Maybe some sort of mention of how to care for your products should be given for people typically buy from a grocery store. When I called to ask about the yellow milky substance on the ham this is what I was told. $30 in the garbage. Won't be going back to this place ever.

I did my yelp search for meat shops while in the area and found this nice place, this is why I keep a cooler in my car because you never know when you will find something good. Commercial store deli products has its place but I like to get some craft quality products from local meat shops.The place is somewhat small but it's packed with meats, cheeses, condiments, eggs, seafood, sausages, dogs, meat sticks, chicken, beer, wine, smoked meats, hams, etc etc.I generally look the whole place over because I can't take everything home with me and grab the few items that catch my eye. First off meat sticks is a mandatory sample with bacon being second and I'm open to anything else. I grabbed a couple packages of meat sticks, summer sausage and cottage bacon that I have never had before and never seen either. Cottage bacon people, I can't wait to cook it up. Eggs with great craft bacon always makes for a great breakfast. The gyro patties sounded spectacular until I was told it's all beef with Gyro seasoning and no lamb in them so I passed on them.The haberno habanero bbq snack sticks were lean and tasty with a delayed heat that creeps up on you that I liked, I can't comment on the rest yet.Overall I really liked the place and as an added extra bonus the snack sticks were buy one get one free and my other items were $1 off so I took home $25 worth of items for $16, weekly specials so that's cool.

My first experience was when I ordered a fresh turkey for Thanksgiving 2021. I have never had anything but frozen grocery store turkeys. Never again! The fresh turkey and the service I got from Wilson's is better than any grocery store.I used to buy portions of hogs and steer when I had a full house. Buying the meat at their store, from their farm, has me ready to fill my standup freezer again!So far, I've had the stuffed porked loin, the "Wisconsin" stuffed chicken breast and, of course, the turkey. ALL AMAZING!I also purchased the rolls of beef/liver dog food. Since I make my own dog food, this was a nice lean addition to the veggies and brown rice mix I make them.I have rib steaks and ground beef in the freezer, cheeses and summer sausage in the fridge and their card in my wallet.Ill be back soon!!

Sadly the pork butt l bought there for pulled pork was a 4 pound package. I was sorted fatty parts of pork. I ended up throwing the whole thing out once it was cooked because the meat could not be properly separated.I feel like I was cheated on purpose by the meat market packing all these odd pieces together and making it into supposedly a full pork butt. It wasn't it was a scam to get rid of fat and gristle.

I absolutely love this place... and I don't eat meat, but my husband does! I buy their amazing shrimp every week! The steaks are cut to order and apparently very tasty. My husband and our dinner guests were raving about the flavor! Everyone that works there is so helpful! They go out of their way to make sure you get what you want! In fact they ran out of shrimp and offered to call me when it arrived! I appreciate their customer service!! Thank you!!

They just need a sugar free bacon option. I think all their bacon is cured in sugar then has added sugars.

Great selection of speciality cheeses and meats and tons of spice/sauces/add-ons. Bought aged cheeses (7-10-12 years). Yummy

Besides having a great selection of fresh and frozen meats there is Mackinac fudge (deliciousness) at the checkout counter.
