This is a great farmers market. We come every Saturday during the summer to get our fresh vegetables for the week. Lots of local vendors with field fresh produce. There are every type of vegetables you would want for your home cooking. There are also many specialty products you can browse. Many of the speciality vendors will offer you samples of their products before you buy. I particularly like Cesars Cheese. They are a great local cheesemaker and have the best string cheese I have ever had. And please support the local businesses on main Street while you are there. Get a coffee or a sandwich and keep browsing. If you like locally produced products, then you will be happy that you came to the West Bend farmers market.

For the reviewer that said much of the produce is just resellers, that's totally not true. There is a home grown rule at this market and if someone complains you are inspected and can be kicked out. I'm a vendor there so know. And yes some people HAVE been kicked out. Personally we buy used boxes we put our zucchini in and often even use them on the display. The boxes fit in our cooler better than the black crates. As far as the fruit, that is 1 exception. There is 1 or 2 vendors that have permission to get fruit from the Michigan produce markets while that fruit is not in season in Wisconsin.

Pleasantly surprised! This market is a good 40 minutes outside of Milwaukee. I've been hearing about it for a few years how I needed to try it. Well... totally worth the drive. A nice variety, sprouts for sale (VERY impressed) and other local, handmade items. They had music as well. Parking can be a bit challenging but not horrible if patient.

I am a market lover so anytime I'm in West Bend on a Saturday morning in the summer I make a point to head downtown with some cash to check out the goods. The market starts Memorial Day weekend and is heavy on garden flowers and veggie plants early on. More veggies will come later in the summer including sweet corn. Throughout the summer there are also stands with farm raised meat, cheeses, soup, soap, popcorn, and crafts. They have two stages for music. The number of vendors and shoppers sometimes surprises me for West Bend which has always seemed like a quiet place; it is fun to see the community embrace the market like this. I also like how the Main St. businesses have jumped on board with the crowd (how could they not); check out the farmer's market bloody mary bar at West Bend Tap for example. The one downfall (for late risers like me) is the end time of 11, once that cowbell rings the vendors will not sell you a garlic clove.

This is a great place to buy beautiful cut flower bouquets and healthy looking plants too. The selection of vegetables is good too...they have everything from tomatoes to purple potatoes and all kinds of mushrooms too. There are enough vendors to keep you browsing all morning.

I used to attend the West Bend Farmers Market every Satuday Morning. Along with all the vendors, produce, crafts, flowers, etc. varying from late Spring to Fall, the coffee shops and ambiance of the downtown area makes for a great way to start the day / weekend. Everytime I am back in Wisconsin I always make sure to stop in for my cheese, honey and my favorite stand the Mushroom Guy from Eden.... I miss West Bend!

I was alarmed that nearly no one had a mask on. The vendors didn't have masks either. We are in a pandemic and this market is not taking it seriously. I turned around and left. Disappointed West Bend business bureau doesn't enforce mask wearing or at the least give them out for free when you arrive.

Lots of produce re-sellers. Some very good venders but look close at the venders selling produce. Many produce and fruit sellers are selling things not ripe yet in Wisconsin, like beef tomatoes, squash, peaches and selling them as home grown, the commercial tomato boxes in the van.. big clue. One person bought 4 beef tomatoes at a price of almost 14 dollars, for not home grown. If they are selling grocery store produce, it beats the purpose of local farm grown produce, and a farmers market. The premise that people are stupid? Some of the venders did not even try to hide the commercial boxes piled in their vehicle. If I am going to buy produce at the same place ALDI gets its veggies, then I will go to Aldi. Buyer beware, look carefully at both the produce and seller. Do not be afraid to look into their truck or van in the back look at the way the produce is packaged under the table, next to the truck, If there are boxes from the produce auction well.... And do not buy the argument they are just using the boxes, if it barks like a dog, its a dog.

I've never been to a farmer's market that was even a quarter of the size of this one. They have your typical assortments of farmers and produce but my favorites are the farmers who have some kind of specialty. There's a garlic place that has about a dozen different varieties of garlic with descriptions of each kind, that kind of passion is awesome. There's honey vendors, syrup vendors, you can even get a ton of different kinds of meat from a local farm. I've only been once and it was kind of overwhelming. Plan to get there before 9 if you've never been before because it takes an hour just to quickly browse through and it closes at 11.

A big fan, lots of variety in the vendors. Have always gotten great produce and more. A fun community setting. Overall one of the better farmers markets in SE Wisconsin (and I've been to plenty!)
