Great selection of flowers, grasses, vegetables, herbs, at this ninth generation family farm. Grab a rolling flat to add your bounty to, as you'll need it! Nice selection of Wave and other petunias, especially hanging baskets. Buyer beware, hanging baskets can get pricey! But if you're wanting them to put it all together for you, then that's what you're paying for. I like that each greenhouse pod separates flowers, grasses, vegetables, tomatoes, etc. It made it easy to pop your head in and figure out where to go. The gravel drive isn't always the easiest for old people (like my wobbly mom) to walk on. Perhaps the ninth generation will "pave the way" for those to come...My mom brought us here because she had coupons, one for a free $3.99 petunia. As other reviewers have mentioned, they're usually out of their coupon and free offers, and I found it odd that they wouldn't just comp the 99-cent petunia we were buying anyway. Small suggestions for an otherwise top notch family business.

I like this place. It may be a little bumpy because there are no paved paths, but the selections and prices, even the drive out here make this a worthwhile destination. From Southridge, it is only about a 12 minute drive south down 76th street and then east on 5 Mile road. Yes, you'll be entering farm country, but if the kids get to see a cow or a horse along the way, they'll be happy, right? There is one greenhouse with veggies in it, but the selection is pretty darn huge! $1.49 for a 4 pack of tomatoes or peppers, each at least a foot tall, or $1.69 for an individual plant, only slightly taller and thicker than those in the 4 pack! Butternut or Acorn squash, eggplant, watermelon, Burpless or Marketmore cucumbers and Kentucky Blue Lake beans were other selections, as well as herbs and lettuce bowls, onions and leeks, rhubarb, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry and lingonberry plants! The rest of the green houses are dedicated to plants and flowers, mostly annuals. There is one greenhouse that shows off the variety of enormous (I am not exaggerating: 3 feet in diameter, some of them!) hanging baskets just overflowing with beautiful and colorful flowers. I scored 2 Empress Wu hostas in one container for $11.99 the first year they were available, when I couldn't even find them anywhere else in the area and online, they were going for $20 minimum, per plant!A couple of tips: there is usually an insert in those coupon packs in the mail. On the insert is usually a coupon for something free with a $10 purchase; sometimes a tomato plant, sometimes a wave petunia, sometimes some other plant. There is free popcorn in the barn where you checkout and you can get it anytime; you don't have to wait until you're actually checking out. It's local and a fun little drive, and the plants are worth it!68/2015

First timer! I'm a newbie when it comes to Waynes Daughters. One day I decided to make the pilgrimage out there to check it out and boy am I glad I did. I got so many nice flowers and plants and the prices were very reasonable. The staff was super friendly, especially the woman at the register. They have great coupons. Most of off I was surprised at how many greenhouses they had and the variety. It's nice that everything was very close together too so you do not have to walk across the whole acreage to get to something. I really like that their stock is well taken care of and you do not see dead or wilted flowers lying around. I will be returning again, it is definitely worth the drive!

Since they closed their greenhouse on Hwy. 32 TVs the I have been shopping at for many years, I went to their farm today. I won't be back! Parking is very minimal. The aisles leading to the greenhouses are narrow. I decided to start at the far end and work my way up. I dragged my cart over the gravel to get To the end greenhouse. I larked my cart outside greenhouse #8. After selecting two hanging baskets and deciding to put them on my cart, I found out when I came out to my cart it was gone. Very rude of someone to take a cart that wasn't theirs. I carried my two baskets to the checkout, told the cashier of my disappointment in the setup and discourteous behavior of a shopper and said I won't be back. I left there and went to Milaegers for my plants and had a much better experience.

This place has a great selection of flowers and many greenhouses with good prices, but when you are in search of something specific it seems there's no Rhyme or reason to how the greenhouses are set up. I found myself going back and forth, greenhouse to greenhouse trying to find what I was looking for and asking for help didn't make it any easier. Asking if they had Salmon colored geraniums and was told those weren't in here with these geraniums but go down two more greenhouses and it's on the right.... uh, nope. Still didn't find it. Good flowers, needs organizational help.
