Water Street Tavern

Very nice spot with approachable food. Good prices and something on the menu for everyone. Simple menu with sandwiches, burgers, appetizers, and salads. Family friendly. Nice service and friendly atmosphere. The star is their patio, right on the river with a fire pit and docks. It is sometimes even open in the winter!

I just have to tell everyone to go try it! Patti is one of the owner's and she was amazing actually I have to say the whole staff was just super duper amazing!!! You can go sit outside and watch the ducks and the dragonflies. I just cannot stop talking about this place. Oh yeah the food is outstanding just go check it out.

Service and food were amazing! The outdoor space is right on the river and is perfect for hanging out at the end of the day and enjoying the sunset. Looking forward to going back many times.

This place has an upscale bar feel and there is a very nice looking outdoor seating patio with a fire pit and fun outside lights. Inside they could use some more light, the lighting was too dim. It was all of our first time here. They had some specials of walleye sandwich, fish tacos, and a campfire burger. Our server was super friendly and humorous. He got our drink order for us bringing back cider and cocktails. They serve up mershons cider which is a local cidery in stoughton. Three of us ordered the walleye sandwich but unfortunately when our server put our order in, he came back and told us they ran out. Instead my husband and I got the smoked whitefish on sourdough and was tasty. My parents got the fish tacos and liked those too. They ran out of the sauce for the fish tacos so they comped us for a meal. We got two baskets of fries to share and those were well seasoned. My husband and I's basket of fries were cold. Though there were some mishaps, we enjoyed the food and would go back to hopefully have some walleye or another dish.

I've been to Water Street Tavern multiple times and it's always amazing! They have a beautiful outdoor patio that's right along the river. All of the food and drinks are delicious but my favorites are the Sunflower Salad, Tavern Burger and their french fries. The watermelon margarita is very tasty as well. The bartenders and servers are friendly and offer great service. The owners always check in with customers to ensure they are having a great experience too, which is great. I highly recommend this place!!

Absolutely fantastic. Food was amazing. Steak, perch and cordon bleu were all delish. The service (Sasha!) and the ambience is so incredibly needed in Stoughton. Great evening and thanks for having us!

Great new restaurant! Food is fantastic, loved the cheese curds. Excellent service, very friendly. Great ambiance with a beautiful patio right on the Yahara waterway.

Great cocktails, fries and service. The burgers were really good at first but they have been really thick and undercooked the last few times I have been there. If I could offer advice, I'd recommend they serve thinner burgers like Settle Down. Outside and inside seating is lovely !

Great atmosphere, amazing outside dining experience and the staff was very friendly.Horrible food. Cheese curds were cold. Walleye sandwich made my date my sick and she spent the night throwing up 5x. I had there signature burger and it wasn't that great. Their menu is very limited. We have visited this place many times when it was the Naughty Norske and loved the outside patio area. Unfortunately we will never eat their again
