Ward's is probably my favorite steakhouse in Milwaukee, so when it came to finding a place to celebrate our anniversary I was excited to make the reservation. We stopped in on a Saturday night and it was just starting to get busy. We were seated in a smaller dining room and in a nice booth. Our waiter Jesse was great, he got us started with some complimentary bread. We were dining during dining week, the special menu included some of the favorites. Since neither of us wanted to try to get our name on the wall we stuck with some of the "smaller" steaks. I decided to go with the dining week menu, getting the lobster bisque, 9 oz filet, and a salted caramel brownie. My husband went with a bone-in ribeye and a cup of the chef's daily soup. We also ordered some cajun mac & cheese and a bottle of wine to complete our meal.The soups were delicious! We both really enjoyed our steaks and they were cooked beautifully. The mac & cheese paired nicely with the meats. After we were finished eating we were served a large slice of chocolate cake for our anniversary. We were so full after our meal, we didn't finish the cake, but did get to take the rest of it home. Overall, it was a great place to celebrate our special day!

Best Prime Rib in MKE. Took my family here for a dinner during MU Family Day weekend. Family ordered shrimp cocktail and fried calamari as appetizers. Shrimp are fresh, Fried Calamari done right , thinly bartered yet crispy. Then my wife and I ordered 8oz prime rib it came with aChoice of salad, we chooses salad, and potatoes to your liking , either mashed , 2x baked with bacon or fries. Our son ordered fillet mignon and scallop . Needless to say we finished all the food we be ordered for it's so good. Our server was also attentive , explain briefly the menu since our first time here, check with us often to ensure everything we ordered is to our satisfaction. It was a great fun family dinner.

The prime rib lives up to the hype. 45 day dry aged to perfection. We had a party of 6, meals, apps drinks and a nice bottle of wine for $750 including tip. Felt the value was higher than the cost. I'd recommend.

Wow! What can I say! 5 stars in food service ambiance and may I add value! Went there for my husbands birthday dinner. He got the Prime Rib and it honestly was the most gorgeous piece of me we had ever seen. I got the veal piccata and it was so tender and delicious. They had a phenomenal selection of top shelf Scotch which made my birthday boy so happy. To top off the perfect meal they gave us a complimentary slab of the most decadent multilayered cake ever. What's nice about Wards is it's very affordable and doesn't have to be set aside for only special occasions.

I dined here for restaurant week with my husband. I'm glad it was at a discounted price, although it still seemed expensive for the quality. The restaurant itself is nice and trendy, with steakhouse vibes. There is complimentary bread. Our server was attentive and helpful. No issues there. The food itself-is underwhelming. The restaurant week menu included a choice of salad (ceasar/house), entree (prime rib/filet/mahi mahi), and dessert (apple turnover/salted caramel brownie). My house salad was good, although drenched in dressing. The peppercorn ranch is delicious, just ask for it on the side. The filet is a good portion, I felt like it was more than 8oz. Great flavor, but cooked under medium rare. The carrots that came with the entree were horrible. Not something you would expect at a nice steakhouse. The desserts were good, but nothing incredible. Given the price - and this was a "special value," I don't believe it was worth it. I don't see any reason to go back honestly.

We had a great time at Ward's for a birthday dinner! We had a reservation and they took our coats at the door right away. It wasn't too busy at 6:30 on a Friday, so you definitely could've gone without a reservation. There were two parts of the restaurant and the front was a little more casual with the bar and the back was more of a dining room.We each ordered specialty meals, which came with a type of potatoes and a soup. I got the broccoli cheddar soup and it was really good and I'm told the lobster bisque was also great.I had the chicken breasts with the Parmesan sauce and everything was the perfect portion sizes. There were two tables with birthdays and they brought us carrot cake with caramel sauce which I would definitely recommend. The service was friendly and prompt and I would definitely recommend stopping in!

Everything was great from the ambiance to the service. All of the food was amazing except for the truffle cream corn. The flavor of truffle competed with the corn versus adding flavor to it. I would highly recommended this location for a cozy date night or for hanging out with friends. If I had to give one con it would be the constant loud talking and laughing from four middle-aged caucasians (specifically one of the women) a couple of tables down. When I spend extra money for an upscale dinner, I would like for the atmosphere to complement that. She made it feel like we were at a sports bar.
