VOM FASS

Vom Fass is a wonderland of local and internationally made liqueurs, wines, bourbons, gins, vodkas, whiskeys, scotch, olive oils and vinegars. Just think, all of the major food groups covered under one roof. You definitely need to spend some time in here, as everything is sample able, and you are encouraged to taste as much as you want. This is a great store to come in to if you are looking for a gift for that someone in your life who loves to cook. The workers ideally know what they are doing when it comes to educating you on the most authentically foreign selections, mine certainly did here in Madison.

This place is cool. I loved that they let us mix samples so I could try some barrel aged gin and elderflower liquor before I bought it and some wine samples. The gin was smooth and paired well with the elderflower flavor. A little expensive but I think overall the quality is worth the cost. Lack of star because the smell in here is over powering it was giving many of us headaches. I would stop in again though to purchase some booze.

Dropped close to $60 on gifts for friends earlier today and could have kept going. Will definitely either hit it back up or take advantage of its flat rate shipping for $6.95 up for up to $125 worth of merchandise. They have alcohol at this location but we focused on the balsamic vinegars and oils. The one that caught my eye was the calamansi vinegar which is made with calamansi fruit from the Philippines. Mattie helped my fiancé out and was patient with my sample request and product questions. You can try anything in the store and then with any of the oils-- get a nice amount in a bottle you choose. The bottle prices were cute and reasonable. They are also refillable if you bring it back clean and dry. If you are looking for something unique because you are a foodie or have a ton of foodie friends, give it a shot!

One of my favorite stores!! If you are trying to spice up your salad game, check this store out! Ask for their oil and vinegar mixes. Different seasons tend to bring new mixes, so this place is worth the first visit, and a second, and then a third! Their selections of wines, bourbons, and whiskeys out of this world! Speaking of world, they have different types lf alcohol from all corners of the world! This is where I get my favorite Red's and Moscato's! Pro-Tip: everything in this store makes for a perfect and classy gift!Pro-Tip#2: start a rewards account! Points per dollar with no time limits and awesome rewards!

This place is amazing! I loved being able to taste the items before I buy them. So many things to choose from here too.

This place is a hidden gem! Omg! Staff was friendly, samples were delicious, history lessons were hard to follow after a few samples, and the ginger-lemon vinegar was awesome! The sangria was amazing and the treats they left out for sampling was amazing. I bought the Lime Liquor which was my fav! And I couldn't leave there without a bottle! Also, you're able to reuse the bottles for oil or vinegar which is a great concept for recycling! Love this gem! I'll definitely be back! I'm so happy I stopped in when I did! They have samples of whiskey people!!! Get your arse in there!

Randomly stopped into this store on State street over the weekend and had a great experience! They have a wide variety of options from oils, vinegars, wines, rums, gins, tequilas, whiskeys, and more. Staff provide you with samples of basically anything you want- a unique and fun experience! We didn't plan on buying anything, but we sampled a little bit of everything and ended up buying a white wine, red wine, and 2 different oils. The products range in price from affordable options to much more expensive, so it is nice to be able to sample things to see how it tastes before purchasing. The staff are very welcoming and knowledgable about all of the products you are sampling, they have tried everything and can give suggestions if you need. They also have a reward system, for those who go often (I signed up). I definitely plan on coming here more often!

Great concept, cool store. Friendly employees and tasting is ecouraged! Great selection of congac, whiskey, borbon, vodka and wines. One half of the store is liquor and the other half oils and vinegars. Some of the booze is pricey but the concept is really cool. Talked myself into buying a 200ml bottle of 25 year congac!

Walked by after returning to Madison for the first time in a few years. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable on everything we sampled and encouraged us to sample more based on our conversation of what I preferred for whiskey. I will definitely return next time I'm in Madison and look for other VOM FASS stores while traveling.

Great place to indulge yourself in free samples of wine, spirits, vinaigrettes, and oils. Ashley, the owner is very passionate and knowledgeable explaining the complexity of the flavors and pairings. Some of the gins and vodkas are made at their distillery in Yahara, which we were told offers free tours every Tuesdays.
