This is a great hole in the wall with just a handful of tables and a limited menu. None of the usual supper club offerings but the food is always good and the service is friendly.

You can feel the TLC in everything they do --the food, service, and overall good vibes. Always accommodating and variety of things to choose from. Looking forward to going back soon!

This restaurant is absolutely beautiful, the remodel is stunning from outdoor fireplace features, the bathrooms, light fixtures, seating, etc. Not to mention the lake views. Great job. We were a party of 4 that reside in Elkhorn so we were thrilled upon entering to have such a great new place to go and take our friends. We were seated 15-20 minutes past our reservation time of 7:30, I thought this a bit odd but not a big deal, we just enjoyed a drink at the bar. We were eventually seated at a beautiful table at the windows overlooking the water. Things spiraled from there. We had a lot of wait time. Our server was friendly and informative but she was a bit personally affronted when my husband told her the beer he received was not the one he had wanted. This shouldn't even be a blip on a server's radar. Apologize, take it away and bring the new one. No attitude, just done. The menu was great although they were out of filets. Not really sure how that happens at a place that prides themselves on steaks. We received soup and salad at 9, our meals at 9:30. Not great at all for having a 7:30 reservation. Our orders consisted of one walleye and 3 ribeyes. The steaks were warmish and the veggies were cold. We did tell the server but we were hungry at this point and were ok with keeping what we had. The problem was the temp, not the food itself. She told the chef and the response was that that couldn't be. What? 3 out of 4 people at a table comment that their food is cold and "chef" disputes that? Once again, an apology was all that was needed and an offer to make it right. We did have the option to re-order or warm it up, but what's with the attitude again? I really really wanted to like this restaurant and we will try again. We were just so disappointed with our experience that night.

A friend and I found this hidden gem over 15 years ago and we are so glad we did! Since then I have brought many others here for dinner too. From the minute you walk in the door you feel like you have walked into an old friend's home!Pete & Sue Neahous (the longtime owners) always greet us with a smile, a handshake and a welcoming hug. It's not uncommon to find other family members working behind the bar or serving tables too. This truly is a family business! The decor makes you feel like you have stepped back in time to a simpler era where cell phones and 24-hour news didn't exist. People are laughing, carrying on conversations and enjoying their cocktails and food. My boyfriend and I took my parents here for the first time (I can't believe I hadn't taken them in the past) last Friday. The minute we walked in the door my parents both said "we see why you like it here so much". Sue and Pete once again welcomed us!We ordered a few cocktails (the Old Fashioned is amazing) and our entrees. The place was packed, but like always our drinks and meals arrived without delay. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and their prices are very reasonable! My go-to is the Fantail Shrimp (they are huge) and the Fish Fry is delicious. In true "supper club" fashion a cup of soup and a salad accompany most meals on the menu. Needless to say, I love absolutely EVERYTHING about this place! Thanks again to Pete, Sue and the amazing staff for making my parents feel so welcome and for another delicious Village Supper Club experience!! You guys are the BEST and I am already looking forward to our next visit!

(Friday) First time at the Village. Make reservations! Glad I did. Had their Old Fashioned. Very nice without it burning as it went down. Shrimp cocktail was very good. Had the clam chowder (hey, it's Friday). Some of the best I've had in this area in a while. Of course I went with the fish fry. Four healthy pieces of cod w/fries. Excellent batter with nice crunch without being overly breaded. Dessert was delicious. Pumpernickel triple berry crisp. Lite, not heavy. Excellent way to end the evening. Don't remember the waitress name other than server 1(from the ticket). Took very good care of us. Yes, it's cozy inside. Not a large dining area, but that made it even more home-ish.

The pan-fried Walleye was good. It is hard to get into for disabled people. Crooked cement stairs, and tables are very close together. The soup and salad were fair. I have had better. One and done. But it is worth trying. We all have different taste buds. Enjoy
