Village Pub of Silver Lake

Went to try their fish fry. Waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table and there were only 2 other tables and a couple of people at the bar. Fish fry was ok.

We stopped in for the fish fry on Friday night. The food and drinks were reasonably priced and the food was delicious. Friendly service, good portions and good drinks. I had the old fashioned which was well done and muddled.

Poor service in person, worse for take out orders. tried four take out orders and all were wrong. We were charged for items we did not receive. The foodwas soggy and cold. We live 4 minutes away. Nobody seems to know what's going on.

New to Silver Lake and we are working our way through the local establishments. Village Pub is a hidden gem! Went with 2 of the children for the Friday Fish Fry. We had the lightly fried pollock whichwas fantastic, potato pancakes tasty, potato casserole was yummy and even the coleslaw was good! Older son had jumbo shrimp which he liked and younger son had the kids' mini corn dogs which met his approval. The coolest [and simplest thing] was that the hostess seated us with a small cup of cheese spread. We dipped our breadsticks into it and that kept the hunger at bay while the yummy fish was getting prepared. The Man and I are already talking about returning this week.Only downside is that refills are NOT free and at $2.25, that's a bit steep.So glad we live a minute from this place!!!

Poor service. We even had to call from the restaurant to follow up on our order since the waitress hadn't check on us. Pulled the the kitchen is backed up but the 2 tables who came after us were already served who were 4 person tables and there was only 2 of us. Drove 20 miles to get here too....so frustrating!

It's easy to miss this place driving past it - looks like it's part of the American Legion. And when you venture in, it looks kind of divy. But the beer and food are excellent, and the bartender is very friendly. We had Alaskan Amber Ale, which is very tasty. And we ordered an 8 piece broasted chicken, which is SOOOO tender and crispy. It's cooked in an oil pressure cooker, which we had never heard of. But it does an awesome job, and they use it for pork chops and chicken wings too. Needless to say we have leftovers waiting for us tomorrow! And we'll be back the next time we visit Silver Lake.

Nice cool little place to have some Bloody Marys and Breakfast. The bartender was supper nice and accommodating. The food was tasty. As a bonus it's right across the lake. Give them a try and enjoy.

By far my favorite bar in Wisconsin! I live in Illinois but drive to Village Pub every Thursday night to see the #1 bartender in the Midwest and the best live entertainment around, by Karaoke DJ Magic Mike! I always feel like home when I come to this establishment. You guys have a great staff and awesome customers. Village Pub Silver Lake for life!!!!!!!

Perch is excellent...Cheesy potato casserole is super good...Nice place for fish fry...

Highly recommend, totally open to public . Great spot to have a drink, watch a game or grab a bite to eat. Foods always good, the broasted chicken is delicious ! Service is always top notch.
