Basically this is a Mexican themed grocery store with lots of items you'll find at many other groceries. It has some pretty unique things for around Carpentersville, if you just go to other stores. Village Fresh Market sure is fresh, especially for the fruits and vegetables. Has lots of other groceries too like cereal, but the prices aren't as good on these items. The produce is where you'll get your money's worth, so stick there. Apparently it used to be another grocery store, because it's big. It's set up like a regular grocery store. There's aisles, and there's a big section on the side for fruits and vegetables. It's bright and clean. There's mostly Mexicans who are shopping in here, but they wouldn't be here if it wasn't any good. Also at the front there's a stand to get juices and fruits. It's $4 for a juice. The Greens Juice is the best of these. It's green of course. This is made with apples, celery, cucumbers, ginger, lemon, and spinach. It's $4 for a bowl of fruit. The Fruta Grande is a bowl filled with the fruit if your choice, and it's topped with chili salt, which gives it a spice. Good place to get something fresh. It's a store but be sure to get some juices and fruit bowls on your way in or out. There's also some other vendors.

If you've passed this market driving northbound on 25, mosey on over because this is a great market. The produce really is fresh. I almost exclusively come here for their meat and poultry. Heads up, I'm about to talk about one if my favorite subjects, raw meat. I'm amazed at how well they maintain this meat department. Everything is so clean, fresh, reasonably priced, organized, and cut well. Props! (Gross alert): Ever open a package of chicken to a woft of pungent yuck? So far, I've never experienced that. When it comes to their beef, I've noticed the types of cuts can be limited. I don't often see thick cut strips or ribeyes, mostly thin cut. They're likely tailered to popular demand and how local customers prepare them. But the important part is that the meat moves, meaning it doesn't sit around until it becomes a "manager's special " with a $2 price reduction. I can trust it for my last minute grilling frenzies. I can't help but grab fruit and produce as I walk to the back of the store. I just brought home a case of sweet, ripe mangos, yummy. They have added a self checkout recently. There have delicious baked pastries. They also sell fresh snacks like fruit, mangonadas, etc as you near the exit..bonus! All in all, a nice, clean, organized, and reasonably priced grocery market!

I drive here from Algonquin as this has the best produce at a decent price. My issue is mainly with their bakery cashiers. Some can be quite rude and make it seem like you are bothering them. I still shop here for food, but I sometimes will go to a panaderia down the street to avoid their cashiers.

Looks are deceiving! Great produce selection and it looks gorgeous BUT buyer beware.... This business is taking advantage of its customers! They have overpriced EVERYTHING... do yourself a favor and shop across the street at their competitor for a fraction of the cost. The fresh food in the back is a good idea for lunch if you want to break the bank. I'll never ever go here again.

Twice in the past few years, Village Fresh Market has proved to be the premium produce provider that I need. When I needed fresh brussel sprouts, here they were. When I wanted fresh figs, they were literally within arms reach immediately upon entering the store. This may not be the largest grocery store (Walmart is across the street), but they certainly have items that the other stores don't. If you know anything about the area, it should come as no surprise that they cater to Spanish tastes, but don't let that intimidate you. The fresh fruit, meat, and bakery items would please anyone. Plus, they now have self-checkout, so you don't even need to rehearse saying "no bolsa, por favor."

Purchased bread for my family today...Sunday. This place is charging over $1 for each piece and they come up with this!??? As you can tell from the pictures, barely any filling inside the danish! Very upsetting and embarrassing especially when your sharing with family members. I get it everyone is feeling the pressure from COVID-19 and the pandemic financial pressures...but your offering a service. Bread is dry! Bread is empty. Never again. Very upset. Management should do something about this!

Wow I have been there like six times and every time including my children we get stared at. You ask him questions they look at you crazy say no English no English and then five minutes later you see them talking English to someone else the employees that is. Very rude I don't know if it's because I'm white or whatever but I've never been treated nice there. It's the closest store so sometimes I have to go there.

Yeah, I bought some steak over there. I didn't eat it right away. I put it in the freezer and I took it out and made it and it tasted old so I had to throw it all out. And The Bakery's way too expensive. On top Of that everybody In the bakery has a bad attitude around there. I'm surprised no 1's beat 1 of their a****. Back to Fiesta Market.

Used to love buying fresh food here but since 2020 man has the quality went into the trash.. check ur fruit because almost all of it has mold... still expect you to pay a decent amount for it too.. no way.. I don't speak Spanish and most of staff speaks Spanish here no biggie, but it is a big deal when the deli guy behind counter got very angry that I didn't speak Spanish yelling at me saying "why don't you speak Spanish your Mexican" and making faces at me when I tried to speak broken Spanish to his coworker..
