I have to give a shout-out to Viking Village Foods in Reedsberg, WI.We stopped there for stock on our way to Kickapoo Valley Reserve today. This small-town grocery stomps anything in the 100x as large metro-Milwaukee area. The selection and quality of the deli foods was amazing. And the produce - all of it super-fresh! No need to pick through mushrooms packages - ALL of them looked great! And - button mushrooms! Those are almost impossible to find in Milwaukee. (Why??)Kudos to this outfit!P.S. You people below whining because they don't force everyone to wear face diapers are insane. Just stay home and order your groceries. If the world is such a dangerous place, why leave home?

Best supermarket! I live in Chicago but frequently shop at Viking when I am up north. They have an amazing selection of bakery goods. Their deli is the best. All of the employees are friendly and helpful. I wish their was a Viking Village Foods in the Chicago area!

This place is simply awesome!Whenever I camp at Wildcat Mountain State Park and/or fish the Kickapoo River valley, I stop in here to get my groceries for the trip. Their prices are very reasonable (less expensive than most places in the Madison area), and their selection is extensive. The place is huge, with plenty of fresh baked goods and other items made on site. Employees are always courteous and helpful. My cashier went the extra mile one time when I bought a Hot Diggity Dog Stick (metal pronged stick for cooking hot dogs over a fire) and the barcode was not working. She went over to where these were located quickly to get the correct info. This was one happy camper (literally)!

I love Viking village foods! The store is super clean the staff are always friendly and helpful. The selection is amazing. They are always making new improvements to the store to make it even more amazing. I love checking the weekly ads and then making a list of my needs. I usually meal plan around Vikings ads. They have an amazing green house in the summer that's a staple for my family as well. The deli is beyond excellent. I don't think there's one thing I don't love about the place.

Place is horrible, overpriced (and the only game in town), apples were mushy and looked like they had growth. Uck.Bought hotdogs while on a camping trip, discovered that night they were spoiled; we were to far gone from town to return. Called to complain and was told nothing could be done. Older Lady at self checkout was rude.

I have only tried the hot bar. The fried chicken was fresh, tender, and tasty. Not a big fan of the vegetables. They were simply out of the can much like any venue like this one. They helped me quickly at the deli checkout and the price was very reasonable. There is a nice clean area for dining in. The hot bar and salad bar were clean

Moved to Reedsburg from Chicago suburbs. This store is a treasure for a smaller town. Everyone is super friendly. Everything is always fresh and fully stocked. The store itself is super clean. There's a hot and cold bar where you can get lunch/dinner by the pound. This place helps to confirm that we made the right move from IL! If you're concerned about getting covid/cold/flu, you can do the drive up and go.

Been shopping here for years as I try and stay local (ie avoid Walmart). Good selection, prices are meh, and produce is a mixed bag. However they do not enforce the mask mandate and therefore put us at risk. The last straw was a family of 5 shopping in their today without masks. I'm done - at least Walmart enforces masks to keep us safe.

I live in town, but looks like I will need to go to Baraboo. It's a constant problem with the baggers at this store. It shows that they have had no training what so ever. Today while spending over $100 in groceries. The bagger loads heavy stuff on top of light or breakable stuff and then throws the bags down with some force for me to pick up and place in my cart. I let the first one slide, but the second time I said to him "Please stop throwing my bags down like that" now I did have a tone in my voice. His reply was it slipped out of my hand, I looked at him and said twice, really? He didn't say another word and was gentle with my bags afterwards. Why do I really need to say anything? This is common sense, but apparently he lacks it and obliviously has never been trained. It's a shame, but I will shop elsewhere for now.

The store is quite large and offers a wide variety of good items, a nice deli, a pharmacy and floral department. That said, despite a worldwide pandemic happening, not a single employee at this store, including staff working the deli counter, are wearing face masks. Apparently the owner of this store thinks Covid 19 is a joke? What is the point of little squares of plexiglass and wiping off the keyboard at the check out lane when the clerks and baggers are mask free, sneezing, coughing, laughing, talking closely together and spreading their germs freely on all of the customers?? Not going back here. I can't support any business that does not support my health. Aldi in Baraboo is my new grocery store.
