Up North Brewing Company

I love to see a new spot open up in Rome! We have been so excited for this place since it started building and it did not disappoint at all! They have a few of their own beers on tap and then also a few local beers. I personally tried almost all their beers but didn't try any of the other brewery beers. The beer tenders let you try some to help choose which I always love! The brewery is dog friendly inside and on the patio. One of the workers gave my pup a little milk bone! The inside and outside of the brewery were very nice and I love the secluded wooded area on the outside by the patio. There is also a beer window on the patio! The beers that I tried were honestly all pretty great; the only one I didn't love was the strawberry blonde, but I thought the cucumber one and the in a nutshell were different and great!

Came here on our last night in Nekoosa. The spot was packed but we eventually found a table. We brought our board game with us to play and drink some beer. We were playing "Terraforming Mars" for anyone who remembers us. It was cool how many people came up to us to ask about it. I forgot the beer I ordered but would remember the name if I saw it. I really like it. They close pretty early at 9pm (early only because I wish we could have stayed longer). Had a great time! Great local spot and can't wait to go back!

Good times, great beers, and a nice atmosphere inside and out! I will definitely make this a regular stop.

We have a home in Rome and we were excited to hear about Up North Brewing coming here. We kept driving by to see the progress during construction. We have been here many times and have never been disappointed. I am a veteran and after finding out all of the owners are retired military it made us want to support them even more. It's great to see new businesses start here and shopping local to help them all! The owners and staff are all super friendly. The beers are great and I haven't found one yet that I didn't like! You can tell they take great pride in making a quality beer and always brewing new flavors and types. Stop in when in the area you will not be disappointed! Looking forward to see the future plans the owners have too as they continue to grow.

It's a great place to relax and enjoy time with friends or family while enjoying great tasting original beers! The owners are always on site making sure everyone has a great experience! Highly recommend this brewery!!

This is a great new addition to Rome. It's friendly and fun and the beer selections are cool! The outdoor beer park looks incredible! Can't wait for warmer weather!

For craft brew fans, this is a great spot. Right now they have about 10 taps. 5 are brewed by Up North Brewery and the rest are from micro breweries in Rapids and Stevens Point (District 1). I love District 1 so I was thrilled to see a few of theirs on tap. All of the beers are very good but I'd say Up North's brews are exceptional. My favorites are their pale ale and stout. The brown and blonde ales are also very tasty and I think their best sellers. Great atmosphere and friendly owners, staff and patrons. It's a great place to relax and tip a couple beers.

After moving from Southeastern Wisconsin up to Wood County we worried about having limited access to great micro brew. Problem solved when Up North Brewing opened. The flagship beers are consistently tasty and the guest taps are awesome as well (I.e. 2 doors down). Great beer with an incredible aesthetic view of beautiful Rome forests. Definitely worth a visit which will most likely result in long term patronage!!!!!
