Union Star Cheese Factory

It's a tradition. We stop for fresh cheese curds and lots of cheese to bring home. And for Captain Jack.

This was my 2nd trip to Union Star Cheese Factory. Both trips netted terrific cheese, cheese curds, fresh butter, sausage sticks, and a couple of experimental purchases, like Limburger. This trip it was cheese curds, goat cheese, feta, a Wisconsin washed rind cheese, and baby Swiss. I'm always a hero when I get back to Indiana with cheese from Union Star!

Best cheese in Wisconsin! It's beautifully hidden in Zittau. We are lucky enough to have this gem in our backyard. Squeaky curds and a variety of cheeses to try make this a lavender to drive out of the way to visit.

Amazing cheese - especially the fresh curds! Their string cheese is the best around as well. Well worth the drive.

We stopped here on a family visit to Appleton Wisconsin and had the best, freshest, squeakiest, cheese curds we've ever had! We purchased several artisan cheese varieties and they were all amazing!

We had a very informative tour of the factory. We watch them making fresh string cheese. Then they offered us samples. It was fantastic. We purchased many different cheeses and they are all yummy. We recommend if you are in the area, stop by, you won't be disappointed.

Excellent cheese and knowledgeable staff to guide your selection . Samples are offered also. Our suitcase is always full of cheese as we fly back to Florida. Support the local gem and hardworking folks at both locations.

I tried Union Star about 10 years ago based on a recommendation from a fellow employee in Neenah Wisconsin. Ever since I make this a regular stop when my business travels take to Appleton and make sure my suitcase is full of cheese when I leave Wisconsin. I can only imagine what TSA is thinking when they scan my bag. The cheese and curds are by worth the drive to this location.

Squeaky cheese, mozzarella loved it. Went out of our way to get there, but it was well worth it.
