Uncorkt

My husband and I visited Racine and stopped by Uncorkt to see what it was about. It's a large space filled with wine, beer, and a little shop. There are tables and seating towards the front of the store and an event space upstairs. They have large coolers filled with individual bottles of beer, wine and other beverages. I was impressed by the variety I believe Uncorkt has something for everyone to indulge in. They also have a nice selection of snacks. I was a little underwhelmed with the customer service. There were two employees working and a couple of customers enjoying a bottle of wine when we arrived. None of the staff made eye contact with us or said hello. We browsed around a bit and when I picked a beverage I took it to the counter to ask about their process....do we pay then find a seat, do we start a tab, etc. The person that I spoke with informed me I had to pay for my beverage, and was very short with me when I asked clarification questions - I couldn't get a smile or laugh out of her. I'm sure masks make it hard to understand each other, but the whole interaction felt awkward and not very welcoming. Later a local family that this employee knew came in, and she was very nice warm to them, so I guess she just didn't want to warm up to me. My husband said the other employee was helpful & friendly. We enjoyed sitting by the window and watching the activity along the street while enjoying out beverages, and I would return.

Best customer service I've ever experienced. I called to ask if they had a wine I had on the Spring Wine walk. A red blend with a mustached dog on the label. Tony looked and couldn't find it. I thanked him for trying. 5 minutes later and my phone rang. He not only found out the name, he said he would try to get more and let me know! Bigode Red Blend rocks almost as much as Tony!

Need a place to pour over a book? Get some stuff done on the laptop? Catch up with a friend? Step out with your beau? Work on that new song with your Beats? A much needed break from window shopping? Get in out of the cold? All while nursing a beverage and perhaps some choice snacks. This place is a welcome respite. A solid selection and variety of both beer, wine, and cider to choose from. Assorted snacks, the foo foo kind. I'm told in biz 16 years and the space is plenty big enough to socially distance successfully. The folks here make it easy, they will provide you a disposable cup if you need it. Anxious about wasting or being able to finish the wine you purchase? They have you covered, you can either take the remainder home or they have smaller bottles available in some brands as well. Uncorkt can also put together a gift basket for you.

We were provided with a gift card for Uncorkt and happy we had a chance to check it out. Setting is quaint and comfortable. Cindy guided us through a flight of wines, all of which were excellent. She also helped us select a wine to take home and provided local dinner recommendations too. I Great local business!

The store itself looks nice and there is a decent selection of wine. The woman who was working was quite rude and unfriendly.

We rented the upstairs for a baby shower and everyone was more than accommodating! The prices were decent and the space was a very good size! It wasn't a huge baby shower but we wanted a larger space (rather than someone's house) due to COVID. So this worked out perfectly! You could easily have a larger event here, maybe up to 100 or so people? The parking is a little bit of a pain but there is a parking garage around the corner. My suggestion- park in front and unload your stuff (if there is parking available) then go to the garage.

Experience was very lack luster, station 1 User Tony B. 08/09/23 04:43PMOur clerk/bartender was actually an older woman with glasses (not the owner Tony B) that wasn't too accommodating, almost shorted us (my boyfriend and his mom were also with me) on a round of our flights, and was a little, uptight?...overall. Made me feel silly thinking I was mistaken,....Then hollered across the floor to get my attention to explain how she was mistaken. Very weird vibes overall. Bar was full so we sat near the windows at the tables and mostly had to go back to refill our flights .Great wine, but service and courtesy was skewed!Will not be going back.

Great place for small events! welcoming atmosphere with huge selections from the vineyard.

An absolutely wonderful and amazing place! I was spending a weekend with a friend, and as we were exploring downtown, a woman came up to us and said, "you have to try Uncorkt. It's a women's owned wine bar, shop, and there are also cooking classes held there." Truer words have never been spoken! My friend I and visited twice! The atmosphere is so very inviting, and the two owners couldn't be more lovely. The also recommended we try Olde Madrid for dinner, which was absolutely delicious. My husband and I went there for a glass of wine after dinner. We have been there a few times and always the same scenario. The two ladies working seemed to be bothered by us asking questions about the wine. They seemed to be more focused on their couple of friends at the bar. We won't be back
