I'm Mexican and this spot is very authentic for Mexican seafood. The spot itself is very casual and has great friendly service. The ceviche de pulpo y camarones was fresh and came with a significant amount of both octopus and shrimp. They have various hot sauces available also. Super tasty. My partner tried the Zamora which was a carne asada with a quesadilla and the quesadilla was handmade from masa and the queso fresco was so good. Overall 9/10 because the spot was not playing any music.

I always say that you have to get into the neighborhoods and explore the not so well known restaurants because a gem like this is hiding. I wanted some Mexican food and something decent so I went right right to the area that has a lot of Mexican restaurants and I stopped here for lunch. The place is very small with 3 tables and a few stools at the bar, it's tight. The menu has all the standard Mexican with seafood options but I would get the taco dinner.The chips and salsa were very good with thin crisp tortilla chips. The salsa was fu#king amazing because it had heat and avocado chunks in it, nice job being different and not dumbing down for the masses.My taco dinner looked amazing also with steak, fish and shrimp tacos that came with rice and beans. The rice and beans were average but I always mix them together and add salsa which makes them good. I taste the meats before eating the tacos to see how they are. The steak was an explosion of flavor because it was seasoned skirt steak with a tasty char grill flavor. The fish was white meat and cooked in a something that gave it an orange tint and slightly chard. The shrimp was the same slightly chard with an orange tint. The tacos were on corn tortillas with cilantro and onion and all were delicious. The steak was so delicious that I took a steak burrito home for dinner.Overall this is a great gem for Mexican food and me being the only non Mexican in the place is always a great sign, probably the best tacos I have had in a while.

Literally as good as it gets! I have been wanting to go here for so long. I like seafood, I like Mexican food, so.....Well, we finally made it there. Everything was great from the service to the food. Tony got the combination fajitas with chicken, steak and shrimp. It didn't come out sizzling, like at other restaurants but was still blazing hot. He said they "didn't skimp" on the chicken and steak and the steak was so fall-apart tender it must have been marinated well. There were only 4 shrimp but they were big and tasty. And the side plate they give you with fajitas? Lovely! Creamy guacamole with big chunks of avocado and a nice pico de gallo and of course served with tortillas. I ordered the shrimp everything...shrimp tostada, shrimp taco and shrimp enchilada. The enchilda had a nice smoky mole. Oh and before I forget, the salsa for the pre-dinner chips was also smoky flavored and had diced avocado in it - delicious and unique. We also got giant margaritas bigger than our heads. There is a real variety of seafood here you don't see anywhere else, things like oysters and octopus. We will have to come back, maybe for the shrimp cocktail!

This place is just simply da bomb,from the bar to their food menu. I always get their shrimp cocktail with ceviche tostadas and a couple micheladas lol,can't leave that out it's all a perfect combo Mexican made meal to make your day a little more pleasant! Definitely interested in visiting them more often in the future for sure!;) Maybe I'll try something different, but really do Love what I've been ordering already!! Best tacos in Milwaukee hands down!!! The steak tacos are amazing with a grilled smokey flavor! The salsas are the best around the area with a smokey chipotle flavor with chunks of avocado goes good with chips and your dish too! They have some home made tortillas for the quesadillas and i usually don't eat rice that wasn't made at home bit i make an exemption in this place!

I wrote a review for this place on a different restaurant that probably had the name changed "la cabana" this place is worth the visit. We're here from Indianapolis on a quick business trip and we loved it. We had the 4sees soup with jumbo shrimp, nice big chunks of fish, crab legs and some mussels. My daughter had the sopes and they were big and really authentic.

My aunt ordered some oysters from this restaurant, and when eating her food after being like 2- 4 oysters in, as she looked closely im the dish ( it was a big portion of oysters only) and picked at one oyster she discovered 2 worms in her oyster!!! NOT ONE but two ! she got disgusted and didn't bother to look or eat anymore of the oysters. she called to inform a employee of what had just happened and the employee just shrugged it off and hung up fast didn't even provide a refund nothing. DO NOT come here unless you want worms in your oysters ! i can't give a zero starts so ill put 1 BUT ITS ZERO STARS !

we went to the restaurant on Layton Ave. It was dirty. ordered fajitas and they didn't come to the table sizzling hot. my husband ordered a chicken and pepper dish. it looked and tasted exactly like my poor excuse for fajitas. our server spoke zero English. the margarita was beyond horrible. couldnt drink it. don't waste your time or money. they deserve negative stars.
