Tres Locos

No more complimentary basket of chips and salsa. Since when? It's the only Mexican restaurant I have been to without that little hit of dopamine dip.The service was good, as it was a slow night. And because it was slow it was actually a reasonable volume inside. Every time we've visited prior, it's been too loud to even have a conversation. The food itself was pretty basic. I had the pork enchiladas with tomatillo sauce. The refried beans were delicious. The rice was really good. The tomatillo sauce was do flavorful. The pork was bland as heck. I was honestly let down a bit by that because I enjoy a good pork enchilada. I don't think I'd order it again. Hopefully the chicken and steak are better options. I'm sure I may be back at some point, it's a decent sized restaurant with a ton of parking space right in the middle of Muskego. But with so many other options for Mexican food within a 10 mile radius, Tres Locos just doesn't make the top of my list of options. If you're a fan of American-Mexican cuisine then this may be the place for you, I just prefer a more authentic taste.

Always love Tres Locos. They have a 3 page long gluten free menu of things that can be made gluten free or already are. Enchilada Locos with chicken are my personal fav. Service is good, margaritas are delish. They'll give you a box of markers if you ask and you can draw on the paper tablecloth.

Tres Locos is kind of tucked into a corner lot in Muskego. From the outside it doesn't look like much: A little run down, Christmas lights still up in July, etc.The inside is cute, if a little schmaltzy. You walk into the bar area where there are probably half a dozen high top tables. There's a small patio that looks like it's off to the side of the bar, but I didn't check it out. There's a short hallway to the dining area, which is cute - the dining room, not the hallway. There are two TVs that, when we were there, both had the Brewers game on. I giggled to myself because I was in a Mexican restaurant that was playing country music.Our server was amazing! I kept reminding myself to ask her name and I forgot. She promptly took our drink orders. My son had a lemonade (no free refills on juice), and the two adults in our group had margaritas. The margaritas were average, at best. They were handmade and not out of a machine so that's something.I ordered the vegetarian enchiladas. You can order two or three. I ordered three and, with the rice and beans that came with the meal, I ended up with leftovers to bring home. The enchilada sauce was sooooo good! When I mentioned this to our server, she brought me a to go container of extra sauce. Yum!My son had the fish tacos (called Baja Tacos on the menu). He liked them, but thought the sauce was a bit too hot. (I don't give this much weight because he finds the mildest of salsas "too hot.") My SO ordered the fajita enchiladas. He loved them but, unfortunately, he had some serious indigestion a few hours later.Tres Locos is definitely not the place to go if you're looking for authentic Mexican food. It is a place to go for a local, laid back lunch or dinner with friends and family.

Parts of this dining experience were just ok, and parts were pretty good. Atmosphere was nothing exciting but comfortable. Wait staff was very nice. Food: I had a combo plate. Chicken chimichaga, enchilada and tostada. It came with rice and beans. They were just ok. Comfort food. Husband got Baja tacos. They were awesome! He got only 2 tacos but they were very large. He had enough. I would recommend.I thought the prices were a bit high. We even had to pay for chips and salsa. Over all it was a satisfying dinner. I may go back, but I will keep looking for my go-to Mexican food in Muskego

Excellent Mexican food and the best margs - not too sweet and plenty of booze! Staff is very casual, yet work hard.

This is the best, most caring restaurant I've ever been to. After 4 days in the hospital, I couldn't wait to get out and have Tres Locos for dinner. Upon placing my order, the kind lady was SO Wonderful and cared about what I was saying. They gifted me my dinner and made me cry from the appreciation I felt. Thank you for making my very challenging week so much better. My daughter said "there are still really good people left in the world, mom!" The team at Tres Locos proves this. Thank you so much for your excellent food and suberb kindness!

The food and the service was out of this world and the amount of food they give you had me stuffed recommended restaurant to anyone

Always good food and solid margaritas. Their hours are a bit limited, so check that they're open before you go.

The food was very good! We had a party of 6 and had no wait time whatsoever at 6pm on a Sunday night. The staff said it is often slow there with people coming in. So, we got our food pretty quickly too!

It's been a few years since we have been here. We will never go back. Only one waitress for the whole dining room, she was working hard yet service suffered. The table next to us got their food and one plate was wrong, missing an enchilada. Our appetizer arrived and it was wrong, then the meals arrived and mine was missing the sour cream. Out of 4 dishes one was good, the rest were bland, tasteless and food that is supposed to be crispy was mushy. We joked this is why it's been years since we went here and why we will never try it again. The bill was more expensive than most other Mexican restaurants in the area we have been to.
