Tony's Fresh Market

The one thing I always liked here was the fresh vegetables, but lately they've been a bit worse on quality and freshness. The only good reason to shop here is the Tuesday senior discount day which saves you 10 percent (you still need a store account to get the discount so keep that in mind).Today was my second visit on a row where the checkout person wouldn't bag my groceries. They don't ask you to do it, or offer to do it themselves, they just let everything pile up at the end and then act annoyed. I see other checkout people bagging groceries for the customers so apparently it's just the luck of the draw. So, fine, I'll do it myself. As I'm bagging my own groceries the checkout woman starts ringing up the next customers groceries! Now out stuff is mixed up because not only will this woman not do her job properly, she won't even wait for me to do HER job for her! Her name was Karen (I believe her last name initial was S) and if anyone cares even slightly about keeping this store running they'll train her and the rest of the employees to do the bare minimum moving forward. This was my worst experience here so far. I noticed my favorite cashier was pushing carts outside for some reason, I miss that young guy. He knew how to treat customers and always put his best foot forward. The fact that he's pushing carts while I'm stuck bagging my own groceries is a clear sign of mismanagement at this location, I hope they can improve because otherwise I'm done shopping here.

A nice store with lots of selections of products from around the world. At lest the Latin America selections. Items that you might not find anywhere else in the area. The place has bright lighting and pretty organized. The workers are friendly and helpful. Self check out makes lines go fast with options for those that prefer the traditional check out. Prices can be competitive with others in the area. My go to picks are plantains (green and rapped) green bananas, arroz Rico.

Tonys is amazing!! We go to the Round Lake Beach location in Illinois. The selection is wonderful and fresh. Just when we couldn't love them more we lost our phone and wallet there, Gabriel one of the associates found it and turned it in!! Saying we are grateful is an understatement. If you visit that location please say hi to him and give him all the love.

Welp. I'm reviewing a grocery store. So mom of me. Things about this place are great. Others are terrible. The salsa and hot bar are great. However I have gotten bad meat here twice and am more careful about that now. Produce is usually very good, but not too great when they advertise prices with coupons that you clip in the app and they don't apply to your total at checkout. This has happened on my latest/past THREE shopping trips. This time I bought it I store and decided to go to customer service for a price adjustment this time as the other times I caught it at home and didn't bother. She asked to see the coupon on my phone. Which is weird , but okay. Then (of course) my phone was frozen on Netflix, so I couldn't show her that I clipped the coupon (as she asked to see if I had it "clipped") I told her I did... not good enough. She could see I added my loyalty card number at checkout. I told her yes, I clipped the digital coupon... I could have pinky promised. Maybe she had would have worked. Darn. Hindsight. Anyway. She told me she "would honor it this time but next time I had to show my phone" and that "someone else might not help me" then she said she had to put the $4.00 on my card. Well, I paid with Apple Pay... because... well, they accept Apple Pay. But apparently everything falls in their favor when it comes to their computer systems; their coupons that don't apply and accepting payments that they can't refund. Looking back I think in situations like this if she would've just been kind and not rude, I wouldn't even be writing this review. But between the bad meat, the prices not being accurate with advertisements/coupons and even more so; this manger(?) Trisha and her very poor customer service- it's simply buyer beware... you could end up over-charged and treated as if asking for the correct advertised price is a hassle and a 'favor' to you. Or at least if you have to ask Trisha for help. But that salsa is good...

Worse meat ever third time and skirt steak is hard to chew they used to sell good meat but last ones were bad

It's a great option for all you grocery needs. Love the produce and butcher area. Wish they would carry goat meat! Everyone is always friendly and helpful! Bright and clean!

wonderful store, nice fresh items, and the garden looks good too, I appreciate the friendly employees whom directed me to the bathroom and prepared my food! excellent customer service, quiet clean parking lot

Went in the morning to grocery shop and my husband and I were craving sushi and the lady was so nice and she made it so delicious I honestly am very picky when it comes to food I won't eat sushi from any other place other then Tony's. I hope she reads this she did a beautiful job

Had a fine time until it was time to check out. I greeted the cashier and started putting my items on the conveyor belt. I had quite a few items but tried my best to move quickly. Both the bagger and the cashier looked annoyed. I kept smiling trying to be pleasant. I bought a candy bar and the cashier threw it in my direction on the table that connects to the conveyor belt. Didn't ask if I wanted out of the bag or in a bag. I also purchased candles and the bagger dropped one of them on the table. It wouldn't have bothered me normally but the whole interaction irritated me. Still I said thank you.

Brenda Cortez is a great employee. She helped a "not so tech savvy" guy with all the digital coupons. She saved a customer for you guys, I was so frustrated I almost walked out.
