Okay, this is a small take out BBQ joint that you have to experience. It's worth traveling to the City, searching for a parking place, putting up with loud talking jazzy sistahs, and Bay-Bay's kids! These people make BBQ and sides that will make you want to slap your mama! Yes, I said it! You will want to slap somebody sitting really close to you because the BBQ is gooooooooood!!!! I've eaten the food twice. The first time, many years ago, I wasn't all that impressed but this time! I was smacking my lips and licking fingers! I thoroughly enjoyed the buffet meal. It comes with 2 meats, 3 sides, corn bread, and a soda. The soda is old skool generic so get the Red Pop! Don't act like you don't know what that is and if you really don't know what it is, get some and find out! LOL Make sure it's iced cold when you drink it and you'll never want anything else! It's the thing to do in Texas (so I found out when I was helping out with Hurricane Harvey)! Now, Ii chose a double order of rib tips for my meats but they had fried chicken on the buffet that looked pretty good. But who goes to a BBQ joint to get fried chicken? That's what Popeye's is for! Really!!! Stick with BBQ!! I didn't even give my good pal, Buddy (my service dog) a bone! Trust me, he was mad! He always gets a bone with meat whenever I buy any kind of grilled meat! Not this time, Dog! LOLThe BBQ was delicious. I'm not talking about falling off the bones because we all know that's rotten meat! Right? This BBQ was lick your fingers, Chew it up! Suck the bone! Smack your lips and look for some more good! For those who don't know, BBQ is not liquified! It should not fall off bones! That's some baaaad meat! Don't eat that! Meat is supposed to be chewed and smacked and sucked and licked and remembered! It's a whole affair and this meat was all of that! Now, let's get to those sides! I had greens, yams, and macaroni and cheese. Yes, if you don't know, that goes together! That's how some people eat it! This, however, was enough food for 2 meals so I had to spread it out over 2 days. It was a feast I was glad to not share with my good friend, Buddy (the service dog) on Day 2 as I licked my fingers for an encore performance of Day 1! I didn't really care for the yams because they didn't have enough brown sugar for my tastes. But, I have to admit I like my yams diabetical! Aks Madea (a.k.a. Tyler Perry) what that means!All-in-all, get on over during the day to get some of this good old fashioned BBQ joint food. Be sure you get there before me or you might find there isn't enough to go around. I might have to buy more next time. I don't think Buddy is going to let me not include him in the next meal!Sorry, no picture because I was too busy smacking my lips to take a pic! Unless you want to see how unhappy Buddy is looking right now! Don't worry, I made him some beef ribs tonight to make up!
