I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is absolutely perfect--warm, inviting, and effortlessly stylish. The energy is vibrant without being overwhelming, making it the ideal spot for a date night or just an evening of indulgence. The menu is a masterpiece of sharable plates, each dish more exquisite than the last. Every bite bursts with flavor, showcasing the chef's dedication to quality and creativity. And don't even get me started on the craft cocktails- beautifully presented and dangerously delicious. But what truly sets this place apart is the service. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They make you feel like a VIP from start to finish. My only complaint? I wish I lived closer. This is the kind of restaurant that becomes your go-to, your favorite, the place you rave about to friends and family. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and book a table. You won't regret it!

After reading so many great reviews, I had very high hopes for Tofte's Table so this is where we drove out to for our Valentine's dinner but sadly, it didn't live up to our expectations. Let me start by saying the staff and ambiance were on point: could not have asked for a more attentive waitress and the lighting /decor were perfect for a low-key romantic evening. The reservation system worked great and we were seated right away. We were not new to sharable plates/ tapas and excited to choose, with so many yummy things on the menu!We each started with a glass of wine and decided on the maple bacon sprouts and tomato and burrata for the appetizer. This was the perfect start and we enjoyed the charred flavor of the ciabatta, basil olive oil and red onion jam. The maple bacon sprouts basically fell apart because of how cooked they were (deep fried?) but still enjoyable, although neither of us could taste mustard mentioned in the description. Next was the mushroom risotto. The strong mushroom flavors was not unexpected but the lack of creaminess in the risotto and amount of oil made it inedible for us to enjoy for more than a couple of bites. We chalked that up to a bad batch of risotto and looked forward to our next dish, a favorite for both of us - meatloaf! The meatloaf was served with beef reduction and a side of Yukon potatoes and vegetables. The consistency of the meatloaf and initial flavors were very good but unfortunately quickly replaced with heavy, heavy salt. Now, I love salt. A LOT. I'm the one who oversalts everything but the meatloaf was too salty for even me. The potatoes were seasoned perfectly, and with the beef reduction sauce even better. And the vegetables were beyond bland. We were baffled how one plate could have something so bland, another item so incredibly salty and yet another be seasoned perfectly. Unfortunately by the end of our dinner, we had decided the wine was the best part of the meal which was disappointing for our Valentine's dinner that I had such high expectations for. My date thought maybe we just picked the wrong things on the menu based on the reviews but if that's the case then the menu should be updated to avoid this sort of experience. It is not often I take the time to write an unsatisfactory review but maybe we just came on the wrong night.

How often do you struggle with entree selection at a restaurant? You narrow it down to 2 or 3 and then ask the waitress for their recommendation. Then it's a crap shoot if you made the right choice. Well, Tofte's Table in Waukesha offers a chef selected shareable option that is perfectly sized for your group of 5 or more for the low price of $45 p/p! This choice is a no brainer - leave the decisions to them and sit back and enjoy your evening as each surprise dish is unveiled to your table. My favs were the duck tostada, scallops, tenderloin and the flourless chocolate cake. Beautifully plated and incredibly flavorful!Sharing is caring - add this to restaurant to your must try list!

Toftes never dissatisfied, nor service disappoints. The ambiance is always cozy, welcoming and lovely with the Riverwalk right across the street. I have done the small plates which gives you the variety and choice you want and always share with a friend. The chefs choice is fun and a suprise to what is coming out and a 5 course meal which is a good value for the money. You get to try many delicious options. You will have a wonderful experience. Enjoy

We loved it! It was for my birthday dinner, recommended by family and it came through with flying colors. Drink specials was a nice offer, but I had my heart set on a Manhattan. 'Do you have one large ice cube?' Yes was the answer and our waitstaff was efficient, patient and kind, and informed us of details of what we could order with kindness and comments. They are a small plate restaurant which was cool and not large, not small. Great atmosphere and comfortable. The Ceaser salad was as our staff said 'the only place I want to eat this' A-Mazing! I had to agree. The mushroom risotto, the duck confit, the scallops, all wonderful and done perfectly. The only thing we didn't care for unfortunately were the Brussels sprouts, which were burnt and supposed to be, but a bit too much, almost unedible. The dessert choices were good and I had mango sherbet - delicious!!!! Highly recommended this place in a nice area in Waukesha.

This place is top notch! Between four of us we had 8 different dishes and we loved them all. The prices are reasonable and the service was lovely. The only thing I will knock is the chicken drumstick just a little, I guess the hype was too much and while it was a nice delicious drumstick it was only a chicken drumstick. I can't wait to go back and try some new things and have some of my new favorites again!
