Great food nice outdoor patio I enjoyed the jerk, chicken, macaroni and cheese. Perfectly spiced owner was very nice.

1202 Michigan is the address if you're looking for it. (Looks like it has been added now--or I was blind last night.) Inside Sandee's, one of the friendliest bars I've been to. Ask for the grape ape while you're there. Anyways, I ordered the jerk chicken breast and Mac and cheese. The jerk was delicious, hint of wood flavor, excellent chile and allspice flavor. It's not ridiculously hot, so most should enjoy it. I tend to like jerk crazy hot, but this had a pleasant balance between the glow of the chiles, the allspice, and citrus kick.The mac and cheese was out of the world good. I'm not one for sides, but I would have ordered a bucket of it if I could. I can't even explain what was going on with it, but there was some faint smokiness or something that caught me off guard and spoke to me. Without exaggeration, the best I've ever had.Robert the pitmaster is lovely gentleman with a great heart and passion for his food. If I lived here, I would eat here every week. You can taste when you eat something that has been made with love.So come on down, have some bbq, and a few drinks at Sandee's while you're waiting. I've only been here once, but it feels like home.
