Could you tell this place in Winthrop Harbor has a sports theme to it? If not that, maybe the name is a message to the people who won't get off the slots. Timeout has great drinks, and they have food too. Fun times here for all. Unless you get tired of hearing the crazy people on the slots yelling. After coming off the train, it's one of the first businesses. It's open early and later. That was good because we needed something. It's about $6 for a basic cocktail. There's the usual kinds of liquors. For sure not the best prices one can get. It's about $6 for Tater Tots. Basic as it can get. There's also greasy items like hamburgers, wings, and stuff. For sure it can be a good time here. It's about as expected for a local bar that's been here a long time. The slots are about the only thing that's changed in the last few years or whatever.

A bit of a rundown old dive bar that it has some space but it's all okay. This bar is a lot better than many other older bars and it has two sections as part of its layouts and overall it looks like a pretty typical rural EXO verb hangover bar it does seem to be a bar from a different generation which is fine and still has the plenty of old TV screens probably has not changed much since the 1970s. I like this and if I lived in the area I probably would go here more often

Stopped in for lunch. Ordered a burger and a patty melt and an order of hot wings. The wings were crispy and well seasoned. The hamburgers were great. Beers were cold. Our bartender was very nice. We will definitely be back.

Moved into the area recently and friends told us to try out this place. It is close to North Point Marina where we have our boat. We have been here a few times. The sandwiches are good and the chicken wings are really good. Waitstaff is friendly although it appears they are a bit understaffed. The bartender generally takes our orders in the dining room. One day we came in around 9 and the kitchen was closing. The manager/owner said he would make us a meal. That was nice. Fun place to watch sports.

Great burgers here! Laid back feel to the place and the staff is very friendly. All of the taste without breaking the bank. 10/10 would recommend.

The food was good so I so want to give this a good review. But, the service was bad. It seemed like all the locals were in the room by the bar and they were all having a good time. We had to sit in the other room (no one else was there). Could barely get the server to come over to wait on us. Really disappointing because I always seek out local places (instead of chains) when I'm traveling. I'd skip this place the next time through.

drinks and food (appetizers only the day we were there) are bargain priced and there is plenty of outdoor seating.it's scary that the staff doesn't wear masks. there are lots of places to eat that are safer. bummer they burnt our fried mushrooms.

I have been to Timeout Sport Pub many, many times last year, and one time this year prior to this afternoon. This afternoon was the worst experience I have encountered from any place I've been in years. I can't imagine what has happened, but I will not ever go again, and when entertaining guests at the marina, I will express how poor my experience was at Timeout and instead of recommending it, I will emphatically discourage any patronage. We sat for over an hour for two cheeseburgers. We got up to leave and pay for our drinks, when our waitress saw me standing and said our food was coming out. I told her we were leaving and my husband went inside to pay the drink bill. She was nearly in tears telling me they would stick her with the food bill if we left (which tells me this isn't the first time this has happened). I couldn't believe it, except when I went inside to let my husband know about it and overheard another waitress yelling at him (rather rudely) then I thought seeing as though this other "service" rep was verbally inserting herself into the situation in a most inappropriate way they likely would stick our waitress with the bill.I The owner was not present and the "manager" clearly didn't care enough to offer any apology for the rudeness of the other waitress or for the insane amount of time it took for our food.So as not to have our waitress take the brunt of the overall failing of this terrible experience, we agreed to take out our food which had finally materialized. We took the food back to our slip, and found it overcooked, dry and chewy with the fries cold and tasting cooked in old oil.Unbelievable. This is NOT the Timeout Sport Pub of a year ago, and I would discourage anyone from eating there, unless you like dry chewy burgers and cold fries after an hour wait time.I'd give it no stars, but had to give at least 1 to post.

I have given this place 2 tries and I am now compelled to write a review. On the first visit, my wife and I had just moved to town and were really looking for a great sports bar with a lot of TVs. This looked like the perfect place. However it was the staff that soiled our experience. Apparently there are reserved seats in the main bar for most events and we were banished to the back room away from the excitement. We decided to go elsewhere. Just a few days ago I took a friend visiting here after a round of golf. We bellied up to the bar and waited, and waited..... And waited. Once we were acknowledged, a look of "what could you possibly be doing here" greeted us with a side of "I haven't got time for you". We ordered the 30minute (to receive) Nachos, which beside the unbelievable wait time, were subpar. I tried to make small talk with our bartender in hopes to learn about the bar and what is good to eat....with no luck. After 7yrs bar-tending experience I had higher expectations for the service. The tips must be amazing and require no effort as she missed out on a good night from us. We chose not to make a large food and drink order and left. I guess it's a small town thing. We will not give it a 3rd try.
