Third Coast Gourmet

A couple of weeks back, I visited @thirdcoastgourmet in the Third Ward across from Shake Shack, and I tried their Capone sub with Genoa salami, capicolo, pastrami, Provolone cheese, artichoke hearts, onion, Romaine, tomato, and Italian seasoned olive oil. I held the artichoke and tomato on my order. The photos only show half of the sub because it was big, but this is what you need to see. They use Boars Head meats and Sciortino's bread. They also sell soup, salad, beer and wine, and they cater. My sandwich was delicious and fed me for lunch and dinner that day! I definitely will be back. They're open 7 days a week, so go check them out!

Sandwiched I've had a thing for deli sandwiches recently and was surprised to see this shop opening next to the new 333water building. While construction there has overshadowed this build-out, Third Coast is a great addition to the third ward neighborhood. I've stopped in twice now and service is super quick and friendly. The sandwiches are well-made with good quality meats, fresh veggies and ample condiments. Bread is crusty and doesn't overshadow protein. There's ample space for dine-in or waiting togo.

Great sandwiches, very nice staff and premium ingredients make this location a winner! If you aren't looking for it; you'll probably walk by and not know it's there- perhaps due to construction. I'm excited to continue to check it out

Picked this place because the location and the menu. The space is incredibly updated and beautiful. Staff is really friendly and attentive. Food is really delicious. I would highly recommend it to anyone that is the mood for an upscale deli. I definitely would return!

My sister and I had the best experience at Third Coast Gourmet. Not only was the food delicious, the service was incredible. We plan on coming back for both take out and dine in!

Finally!! the sandwich shop we all deserved! I have been to Third coast twice now and have been nothing but impressed. My wife and I have now tried the: - prime of your life (prime rib): 5 stars- the Capone (Italian) 5 stars- honey I'm home (turkey) 4.5 stars - needs a little spice or something. - sweet potato fries: 5 stars- truffle fries: 5 starsThe meats, cheeses and veggies are so fresh. The bread is just perfect. Best sub shop in town by far. Can't to try even more. The service is also stellar! Very friendly and very helpful when asking for recommendations.

I stopped by after work one day and they weren't too busy around 6pm on a Tuesday. When we first walked in we were greeted by everyone and they were all so incredibly kind and welcoming! My husband and I each tried a different sandwich and his came with a side of sweet potato fries. I also noticed they just took cookies out of the oven and asked if we could purchase one of those as well. You order at the counter then they bring the food to your table. The place is very clean and has nice fridges with various drinks and drips available to buy. Our food came pretty quickly and they use Boars Head deli meat. The ingredients are fresh and good quality. The sandwiches are (unfortunately) pretty bland and dry. To help with that I think they could definitely add more vegetables or even add more of the sauces they do have on the sandwich. They could also add a pickle on the side or even just have mustard on the tables. They have tons of boars head sauces on the for sale side of things but they should use them in the sandwiches! If I were to go again I would just ask for extra sauce. The fries on the other hand were amazing!! Very crispy and the seasoning was ample and perfect honestly. The cookie tasted like it may have had some cinnamon or something but it was delicious and perfectly warm. I think this overall has great potential but the sandwiches were overpriced and dry. They could definitely make improvements to help make the price worth it though!

All of their sandwiches are great. The service is excellent and the premises are very nice. Recommended.

Delicious soup and sandwiches in a beautiful historic building. Friendly service. Owner came to table to check on us and gave a quick history of the building and the restaurant design.

The Island Turkey Wrap was recommended for me to try. Perfect amount of spice. Great flavor and large wrap. I wish the sweet potato chips were bigger. Next time, I will just get 2 bags. I will be back to try another off the menu. Large flavor selection to choose from.
