Wish I could have reviewed this properly. Called and made a reservation at 12:15 then realized it was the breakfast menu so I called back and said I would like to come back for a late lunch and asked what time they reopen. I was told 3 o'clock so I said OK I'll be there at 3 o'clock for a late lunch. Arrived and no servers to be found. Went up to the bar and was told the kitchen was closed until four. Wish the person on the phone would've mentioned that after we waited all day to have lunch. We left and went elsewhere.

My friend's & I celebrated my 40th birthday w/ brunch at ASH Milwaukeee on November 21st @ 11:30a. Our reservation was made ahead of time but the staff did not setup our reservation which was fine only because it was not busy. Once we were seated; our waitress greeted us & gave us all the juice options (pineapple, orange & cranberry) & price for bottomless mimosas which was $20 & for 1 glass it's $10. The pineapple mimosas were delicious & our waitress always kept our glasses filled. Our food was delicious which consists of: smash burgers, loaded potatoes, chicken & waffles (sauce is spicy so ask for it on the side). I would definitely recommend Ash for brunch w/ their beautiful decor, wonderful service, food selection & more.

Iron horse used to have an amazing buffet brunch but the buy in was pricy. Its now a conventional menu from the bar but its great! The hamburger where hashbrowns are the bun? YES! The perfectly crisped fingerling potatoes? OMG. Our lovely server tried to clear my plate and i was like nooooo theres a bite left.Bloodys were not too spicy which works for me, just fyi!

Let me tell you about one of the all around worst experiences I have ever had dinning. From indifferent staff to bland food and horrible buffet selections. Unfortunately, this was a Mother's Day brunch I immediately regretted. The greeting staff was borderline rude. The hostess was looking for table # whatever ours was and everyone seemed highly confused. With numerous tables being wide open, we were sat at the very furthest table from the buffet line. To add to frustration, the glasses set on the table were so filthy dirty. Not that big of a deal, really we're just there to stuff our bellies, so we decided to get on with it. What horrible choices. Hey, if you love cold seafood, maybe you'd be happy. Oysters, tasteless caviar, crab, lobster rolls. But we don't. And there was no link to check the menu beforehand. The reason we decided to try it out was because years ago we had such a great experience for brunch. They had bagels that were very dry, one salad with vinaigrette dressing already on it, so hopefully you like that. Not one thing out for breakfast besides an egg station that my husband said was mediocre. Here's the take away. All they offered were proteins and desserts. There was flavorless prime rib. You could also have a lamp chop that was over cooked. Some sausage that was over cooked. If dried out meat isn't for you, try the bacon that is woefully undercooked. No potatoes offered. No vegetable sides. I noticed as we were leaving a waffle came out to the table beside us, but this wasn't even offered as an option for us. So, there ms always dessert, right? That took up one third of the buffet. Everything LOOKED good. It's like they tried, but everything just tasted off. Crème brûlée was a class on how not to make it. Moving on to the bill. $70/person for horrible experience. They also added a 24% gratuity we weren't expecting. As mentioned before, no way to look any of this up on the website. They did hand out edible macaroons and a rose on the way out for mothers. I'm all honesty, I'd rather had some carrots or hash browns. Will not ever return.

Finally I made it to the Ash! Been wanting to visit Ash Milwaukee since it opened and glad I could make it here. I called in for a brunch reservation couple hours ahead of time and luckily got an availability. When I reached, the place was packed so I am glad I called earlier. The decor and space is awesome - an amazing rustic feel! They have a fireplace which was perfect for a cozy Milwaukee winter - any day. They had a DJ station and a DJ mixing music once in a while - I am guessing it's more happening during evenings. Me and my friend got seated right away and got us one of those high top tables. It was a long table which is usually shaded between groups but at the time it was just us. Our server attended to us right away and offered us drinks. After having looked at the menu for a couple of mins we decided what we wanted. I got the seasonal omelette !! It was yumm. It comes with fingerling potatoes which were crisp and nicely done. I also liked that the omelette was a decent side .. probably made of 1 or 2 egg and not a huge 5 egg omelette which a lot of places serve. The flavors were amazing! I subbed the ham for sausage in it and it was totally worth it. I would like to come here for dinner someday and try out those options! Overall a good experience and I do hope the menu is rotated once in a while for brunch.

Highlights:* Great Ambience* Beautiful decor and style. * Great Brunch selection * Not busy (10:30am)$20 Bottomless Mimosas. - orange and Pomegranate- I had 5. Easily done. Hahaha. I had the scrambled egg and Reddit with Fingerlings. Those fingerlings with the sauce they put on them are so so good. The scrambled egg with rabbit was delicious. The rabbit is like a pulled (pork) rabbit. My wife had the seasonal omelette (can't go wrong with that). Definitely coming back!

This is a hidden gem attached to a wonderful boutique hotel south of downtown Milwaukee. I suggest you check it out if you were going to a Brewers or Bucks game. The large and luscious outdoor eating area was a nice surprise. Check out their after-work specials. Our server was exceptional.

After reading the reviews, I was a bit worried. I'm glad we persevered and ate at Ash. They have spaced out tables and server wore mask. I felt that they were clearly following CDC guidelines, which I appreciate. As for the food- it was quite good. Not over imaginative, but solid. The scallops and trout were done well. The spaetzle was delish. We ended the meal with a chocolate cake in a glass(?) and a glass of port. Nice. We'll be back.

Brunch ReviewThey only have brunch on Sunday's and to see the menu you have to click "branded/yard menus" which was not intuitiveBrief: Great atmosphere and a little pricey but quality food. The restaurant is in the ironworks hotel and parking was relatively easy. The atmosphere was contemporary and had a plethora of ages. The menu did brunch is not large but it was good. I really enjoyed the chicken and waffles (wished the chicken was a little bigger) it did have a nice kick of spice and my wife loved the "plain Jane". You can reserve a table and i recommend that. I would go again and enjoyed my experience.

Ash is the new concept in the Iron Horse Hotel that opened just a mere three days ago. This visit was probably a bit too soon to give it a legitimate review, as we came for their very first Sunday brunch--but I'll give it a go.Space is awesome, it has the design of the Iron Horse, and they even had a DJ in there to get the brunch vibes going. I got reservations on Open Table but they didn't even look me up nor check me off, so I am not sure making reservations would even be helpful. A weird kink they should work out, as many people use that system if it's available. Our server was super sweet but nervous, and we didn't see her right away. It was not busy so it was hard to determine where everyone even was. We saw a couple wait for a good 5 minutes at the hostess stand to then walk away. We ordered the biscuits and gravy and the chicken and waffles. Biscuits & gravy were super onion-y--a different twist on the classic. I could see where some may like that (and I love onions), but it was a bit over powering. On the other hand, Chicken & Waffles were outstanding. Sweet & spicy. Very good! I'd get these again for sure. I plan to come back for dinner soon and give this a full review and hopefully bring up the rating! After all, it's a brand new restaurant that is sure to work out kinks. They've done a brilliant job for their other concepts, so I have high hopes.
