I was recently heading south from Fond du Lac around dinner time on a Thursday and decided to see what I had bookmarked between there and home. Of the choices, The Wisco stood out because of an all you can eat ribs special on Thursdays, so I stopped there along the way. It's crazy how much food they give you that's not even a part of what you order. They brought out a relish tray containing carrots, celery, crackers sticks, and homemade chips (pieces of fried tortilla) with dip/spread options including ranch dressing, liverwurst, and a brick cheese spread from a local cheese maker (which was particularly great). There was also a small loaf of bread, pickled beets, and a cup of pasta salad. With my meal I got a side salad and upgraded my potato choice to their Wisco Fries, which are seasoned potato wedges covered with alfredo sauce and bacon bits. In retrospect, I'd rather just get wedges and have a side of the alfredo to dip them in as the wedges did get a little soggy under the alfredo.By the time the ribs came I was getting pretty full. I managed to eat the first plate and only got one reorder consisting of two bones. Parts of the ribs were on the dry side, but for the most part they were good. Note, they did come to the table with sauce already on them.Although much farther off Hwy 41 than I was anticipating, I enjoyed my meal at The Wisco and would make the trip out there again, especially to try their all you can eat fish fry.

We are avid supper club fans and decided to make the 1.5 hour trek north to Wisco. Google gave this restaurant a high rating. Restaurant looked promising from the outside and they have a neat way of checking you in - you're given a playing card We arrived prior to our reservation at 7 pm and had a couple drinks at the bar. Bartender was prompt and pleasant. We perused the menu while at the bar. The waitress takes your order at the bar prior to seating you. We were seated around 7:20. We were served a nice relish tray and loaf of bread, followed by fresh salads Our waitress was very pleasant. Fast forward to 8:30 pm. Yes, 8:30 pm - when were were STILL waiting for our dinner. The waitress notified us they were out of filets and apologized for the delay. A substitution for the filet was made. Why it took an hour and a half to tell us is a mystery. At least two tables by us were seated, served, and left during this time. The restaurant closes at 9 pm. We were finally served after 9 pm (with more apologies from the waitress) and left around 10 pm. The rib eyes were flavorful but had a lot of gristle. Not sure what the problem was, it wasn't that busy. Overall, a very disappointing experience. We won't be back

We've been wanting to come here for years (when we visit Horicon Marsh). We finally got a chance to try it out. Reservations were at 7:00. We were seated at 7:35 (completely understandable - it was Saturday night and they were slammed). You sit in the bar, until your waitress comes to take your order (waited at the bar 15 minutes to get three drinks - could not get bartenders attention (again they were slammed). Went back up to the bar when they cleared out a bit. Ordered a fuzzy navel (was perfect). Ordered 2 old fashioneds/ 1 with brandy and 1 with whiskey - requested both sweet with fruit. Bar tender was rushing and said they were out of normal glasses - so he made tall glasses. Old fashioned were fine - but neither had fruit at all. (They were "fine" but a little disappointing). When they have your table open - they seat you and start bringing what you've ordered. We ordered salads and a breaded mushroom appetizer. There was a half hour gap between the completion of the salads/mushrooms and our meals. I had the 12 ounce ribeye and my sister and brother in law had the pecan crusted chicken. The steak had good flavor but it was underdone and honestly must've been sitting in the kitchen. It was slightly over room temperature. Again stressing it had great flavor and it was tender. But it was cold (after waiting for quite a while). I admit it was disappointing. The chicken entrees were piping hot as they had carryover heat from the cast iron skillet that it was cooked/served in (they said it was hot and delicious). Baked potatoes were piping hot, fluffy and delicious. We ordered dessert and coffee cream. At this point the restaurant was pretty dead. The gal brought coffee -It was not very good and it was cold. I never return food/ to a fault - but I told the waitress we didn't want it for the aforementioned reasons. She took it away and we stuck with water. It took 20 minutes for the gal to bring our desserts. They were good. So all in all - not really the experience we expected. Was disappointed with some aspects. Long time gaps, cold food, yucky cold coffee etc. we got there at 6:50 for a 7:00 pm reservation and finally got out of there at 9:40. HOWEVER, we would absolutely come here again. Everyone can have an off night and honestly they'd been closed for a while and reopened 3 weeks ago - so they are probably getting back in the groove. For that reason, I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 3.

I ordered chicken fettuccine with mushrooms. honest the sauce was like a jar of fettuccine sauce it was bland and gross! Mushrooms very good! Wouldn't recommend! Husband had prime rib said wouldn't go back not worth the drive and bland as well Service was good but didn't split up checks so that was a mess with a large group

This was our second time coming here. What a delightful place that is out of the way. Very cozy and intimate. We like how they do things here as far as first sit in the bar, grab a drink, have a conversation and some free popcorn. Then they come and take your order and in a couple of minutes to situate your table. The food is excellent. We're not talking gourmet food but rather good honest home cooking that is cooked very well. The menu appeals to pretty much everybody. The portions are excellent as is the service. All toll, power bill was right around $70 for drinks and dinner.A very good value with nice people in a nice setting.

Charming Supper Club. Awesome Waitstaff and exceptional meal. Our waitress, "Bug" was customer service focused. My husband found this place from a FaceBook page for Wisconsin Supper Clubs. It is supposed to be a 40 minute drive from our home but our car GPS took us to the middle of nowhere so I pulled up Yelp and used their directions. We had a 5 pm reservation because we were told that was the only time available. We arrived 5 minutes late andParked by what we thought was the entry way inside but the door was blocked with decor. So we proceeded to walk around the building looking for a way in. Half way around a cook stepped out and directed us to keep going. Three quarters of the way around we found it. If we had walked the opposite way it would of been a much shorter walk.. By now we were about 10 minutes late but the hostess was more concerned if we were planning on drinks at the bar first. When we told him we weren't drinking and wanted to be seated right away he was almost jumping up and down with joy. The dining room was not packed and it was still not packed when we left after 6 pm. But the bar was packed. Our take was that this supper club clientele were the type to sit at the bar and drink until their table was ready and set up with the relish tray and bread. Now for the food review.I changed my mind 3 times before getting to the restaurant. I don't usually eat Prime Rib but went for it this time. It comes with a choice of potato (and there were a lot of choices) and soup or salad. After we ordered we were served a relish tray (beets, macaroni salad, liver pâté, cheese spread, veggie dip, carrot and celery sticks and sliced cucumbers and a pita chip type of cracker that was light yet held up to the liver pâté. Vegetables were crisp and I ate all the pickled beats because they were so good and let my husband have the pasta salad which was tasty also. A loaf of warm bread amd whipped butter was served with the relish tray. I ordered a twice baked potato and the Jack Prime Rib. My husband ordered a baked potty with sour cream and a Queen Prime Rib. We both cameHome With 3/4 of our Prime Rib after filling up on the relish tray, bread and soup.We ordered, for an extra charge, the French Onion Soup. Best I have had in a long time. It was piping hot right from the oven. My husband can't take temperature hot food like I can so he spooned some ice from his water glass to add to his soupto help cool it down. The soup had a rich broth loaded with onions, a slice of bread floating on top with thick melted cheese, just the way it is supposed to be made a d it was flavorful. We ordered the Prime Rib medium rare but they were pretty rare. We could of sent them back but did not. They tasted awesome even that rare, with a hint of Rosemary and perfectly seasoned. Knowing we were good to bring home a good portion of our meat, reheating it didn't over cook it.They had a after dinner drink special of Grasshopper for $1.00. We were too full but did get a slice of pecan pie to go which we ate later and it was to die for. I have sampled Pecan pies from all over the South and this pie was the best I have had the pleasure of tasting. It had a light Carmel inside with and light pie crust and not too sweet with crunchy pecans. We will be back!

Amazing, classic supper club experience on a Friday night. The owners were friendly and accommodating. The Old Fashioneds were on point. We love the nostalgia of the bread and relish tray. The steaks were cooked as ordered. The perch had a nice flavor. The French onion soup was an extra bonus. Our server took care of us so well. I now live out-of-state so to be able to come back and share an experience of a quintessential supper club with my two oldest daughters and my brother was a very cherished night and experience. The owners and our server went out of their way to make every part of our dinner the best it could be.

Very nice western atmosphere. They served free popcorn at the bar. We came with another couple and have been meaning to get here for awhile. Bar area was rustic and there was lots of history on the walls We ordered 3 whiskey old fashions and a beer. Never offered a garnish and it they just looked very average. I had the beer and to a person....everyone thought the drink was one of the worst. Couldn't taste any whiskey. They were very bitter as well. Add to that the tab was $25 which in these parts for a crummy old fashion is steep. No issues if it is a great cocktail. The menu was good with some real nice options. I had shrimp. The wives had haddock stuffed with crab stuffing. My buddy had the rib special. Everyone thought the food quality was pretty good overall. A decent value overall. Service was very good. Not desperate to go back but would like to try some of the other dishes. Stick to beer.

This is a horrible place. We made reservations for 6:30 two days ago, and the owner lost our reservation, assured we would be seated by 6:30, and it's currently 8:30 and we haven't eaten yet. Absolutely no remorse from the owner or any staff. They are obviously talking about us but nobody has come over to mention anything about our table, for over an hour! People who have come in after us are EATING well before we have been acknowledged. For reference, I've never written a review in my entire life. This place deserves one star solely because of the service, we haven't even tasted the food yet, but can't be any better than being stuck in a corner and ignored!!!! :)
