UPDATE: I've recently went back to the Humboldt Park Beer Garden (aka The Vine), and had a much better experience than I have in the past. Beer options are greatly expanded with some craft beers like Lakefront, along with miller classics and Summer Shandy. They also have wine and white claw as other drink options, so there should be something for everyone! We also had some of the new empanadas, which were pretty good! If you haven't been to the Humboldt Beer Garden in a while, I would suggest going back to give it another try-you won't be disappointed!!

Not a bad Milwaukee County Parks Beer Garden, but certainly there are better in the County Parks stable. But Location, location, location! You've got Tuesday night Chill on the Hill, and many other fun festivals here, and the beer garden will let your carry out with a plastic cup. And many of those nights the beers are discounted! There are picnic tables scattered around, some stringed up lights, some inside seating, and pedestrian food inside. The atmosphere is a little sterile and could use some improvement- a little music, fun & games like bean bags or oversized Connect Four. Saint Francis Brewery runs the taps here, and sometimes there are Tap Takeovers. 3.5 Stars rounding up because I'm really glad it's here.

We're lucky to live in a city with multiple options for beer garden drinking. I choose to go to Humboldt Park Beer Garden because 1. I can walk there, ideal in any sort of situation with alcohol. 2. In addition to a variety of craft beers they also have cider, wine and other hard beverages, as well as soda for my nonbeer drinking friends. 3. I like their outside space. Picnic tables, and lights that are strung up provide some great ambience in the park at night. 4. There is also food available for purchase. Some things to note, cash only (there is an atm onsite) and you cannot bring in food. I believe the beer garden will be open through September.

Great location for a beer garden. Beer is good choice but the empeñada place inside needs to get food out a little quicker so people aren't waiting 30min for just an empeñada

Very surprised to see this place have 3.5 stars here ... What's not to like and support about a beer garden - good craft beer, food ( limited options but still better than frozen pizzas ), lots of open seating, decent music, lots of open area to spread your blankets or chairs and it's pet and kid friendly!!C'mon folks, give this place some love here on yelp and do give a visit... I've had great service here with good choice of beers and have had a great time!

This is the perfect place to come in a lovely afternoon With family and friends And sometimes your dog to have a few great brews or wines in an amazing setting in the park. We got to witness the photo shoot of a wedding while we were casually sipping on our delicious beers and it was just magical. Highly recommend to anyone :)

My husband loves it. But I don't drink beer and they stopped having wine here. :(The food needs work, I am hoping it gets better. Update: they have wine again!

I'm not sure that I want to take the title of That Biergarten guy. I've been to every permanent BG so far. With exception to The first Sprecher mobile BG. This is a mobile beer vender trailer with a choice of Four of St. Francis brewery beers with food service in the building. They have Plenty of picnic tables and mugs of two sizes. Liter and Half liter deposit is $6. Cash only. They do have an ATM inside the building. At this time they want to use their own mugs. So save your stein for Estabrook, Landings, or any of the mobile Sprecher locations. I believe it is an internal limitation so they have and a dual control to cross check total head counts. And keep the pours standardized. And considering that they only have one porta potty and a men's room that serves two at a time. Tables are new so look out for splinters or use a tablecloth. Bring snacks and enjoy your local parks. Food: 3 on your own or warm brats dog and pretzels. 3Amb.: 4 live music. Serv.: 4Loc. : 5Val. : 4 prices are similar to Estabrook and Hoyt park. 63/2014

I absolutely love St. Francis Brewery's beers. The only downside to this venue is that it doesn't have a dedicated kitchen like South Shore. So if frozen pizza's aren't your thing, South Shore might be a better lunch option. The beer is awesome. I was a bit disappointed they didn't offer free root beer for the kiddos like South Shore but instead sold a refillable boot for around $12.00. They did tap a keg today and gave free beer until it ran out. If you bring your own glass, you don't have to rent their glassware. I also saw they were offering plastic cups.

My first time in Milwaukee's Humboldt Park. Beautiful park and great little spot to enjoy spirits and Peruvian empanadas. They were very tasty. Large portion. Good for sharing.
