Great burgers , nice decor
the menu for the restaurant

There was a bacon cheeseburger here, but I was too hungry when it came, and too good to stop eating to take a pic. THAT GOOD!

Delicious pizza, burgers, Rueben rolls, and well the list could go on! I have yet to have anything I didn't like there. The staff is extremely friendly and they have awesome weekly specials. This is a regular place for us to go for snacks, dinner and/or just drinks. Definitely a friendly small town bar!

Good pizza is hard to come by in this area. The Village Tap makes a great pizza, AND the owner is super awesome. Her name is Chris. If you're looking for small town hospitality, you've found it!

I'm giving this place 4 stars, and almost debated about giving it five, but there were just a couple of things that prevented me from giving that rating. When we walked in, there wasn't anyone to greet us. I surmised immediately that it was the type of place where the bartender does it all. That did turn out to be the case, but it was no big deal since we were fine waiting the five or so minutes that it took. When we were greeted, the bartender was friendly, took our drink order and told us about the two for one burger deal. While she was making our drinks, I saw some people at the ATM machine and quickly realized that they don't take credit cards. It would have been nice if this were on their Facebook page, or if there was a sing posted stating that. This was the most annoying point of the evening. I ended up having to go out and get cash. I'm just used to most places taking a debit/credit cards these days, and would have appreciated reading "cash only" on their Facebook page. The food and drinks, however, saved the evening. The drinks were a good pour and the burgers, obviously hand-pattied 1/2 pounders, were excellent. As far as atmosphere is concerned, this is a bar; nothing fancy. They do have a small (2 table) outside area for dining which is very nicely landscaped and we enjoyed eating out there. We will certainly be back. Taco Tuesday is what we will try next.

Without a doubt the best homemade pizza I have ever had. Friendly staff, cold beer, strong drinks. What else could you ask for?

Came in about a year ago on sleds great food n drinks. Came in last week, shit has hit the fan here. Brought friends after telling of first experience, what a mistake. chef who made great food is gone. blonde bartender who spend the whole time talking shit about her boss and co workers still has job. Strong drinks awful wait time she drank more than us. Prices make u think you'll be getting fresh food, plates look like new chef is ok serving freezer burned and expired food. Nothing else around here guess we will pass all together next time. Had shits for two days, cash only bar with expensive ATM. Be warned. Worse than typical bar food

One of the worst bars I've been in. Went in about a month ago with a small group. Bartender totally ignored us. Tap beer was skunk - maybe clean the lines occasionally? Did not eat there so have no opinion on the food. My friend played the $1 spin the wheel game and it hit her number. The bartender paid her a grand total of $2, even though there was a jar full of dollar bills below. We were in a year prior and the beer lines were dirty then, too. Must be a local's place. Will never go back

After looking for a new place to eat in the Lake Geneva area, and reading the reviews we decided to stop at Village Tap on a Sunday afternoon for dinner. While the bar was clean and inviting, we were told that the kitchen was closed except for pizza by the bartender Matty who looked noticably intoxicated as she walked away without taking our drink order. When she came back we ordered two drinks while deciding where to go for dinner, and it took almost 15 minutes to get them as the bartender was more interested in playing a dice game with a group of bikers at the end of the bar than to make our drinks. While deciding if a pizza sounded good, we looked at menus for over 20 minutes while the bartender sat at the end of the bar doing shot after shot and basically ignoring us, which is when we gave up and decided to leave. While bad service doesn't always mean a bad restaurant, in this case, watching the bartender ignore us while drinking and flirting less than 20 feet away was enough to ensure that we will not return.
