The Ugly Apple

Went here for a Valentine's Day breakfast as someplace we hadn't been to yet. We always love the food truck, but wanted to see the cafe as well. This is the first restaurant I've ever had to go through security to get into, given it is in the courthouse. That said, it's very easy to find once you're in, as you just go down one floor. I'm very happy we arrived shortly after they opened at 8, since it started to get busy the closer to 8:30 it got. They were very quick at getting orders out though.We ended up getting the specials of the day, a pork hash and a frittata. The frittata had cauliflower and zucchini which was pretty tasty. It also came with a side salad with vinegrette. The pork hash was tasty as well and the salsa paired nicely. I also used some of the salsa on the frittata to amp the flavor. They have a little condiment station that has some specialty hot sauces that we also used. Overall, good breakfast option. Prices were fair, staff was nice, and there was more space to sit and eat than I expected. I'll have to stop by again to try out their lunch options and get some baked goods, especially their paczki!
