I saw the name and just had to try it. My wife was quite full from lunch, but I could squeeze in just a bit of sorbet....If you look at the place, you can go into sugar overload. They have Jelly Bellies, Fudge, Ice Cream, and all sorts of interesting confections. The walls are LITERALLY covered with them. They also make authentic sodas with all sorts of flavors.I was on the hunt for raspberry sorbet, and they had it. The single scoop serving I ordered was very generous, and came with a pink spoon that changed to purple when it was cooled in the ice cream (Parents - keep this a secret and watch them figure it out!)This place is kept very clean. The list of stuff they have goes on quite a bit longer, I hit the high points.The service was good, the place was spotless, the tables didn't rock, and the ice cream was good. What's not to like?

Choco' bout a good time! Heard of this place through the local radio (WORT 98.7 anyone!!). Interviewed the owner, who seems like a real bad ass woman. Unfortunately, she wasn't there the day we came, but everyone else working was so friendly (sweeter than the candy, if you will).The decor, it's the perfect synergetic aesthetic that is that candy shop in the Harry Potter movies and Target mom's 'candy bar' search on Pinterest. There was even some fun jazzy music playing while we were browsing and eating. Really all more that I needed was some pigtails and the patience for a lollipop, but alas.We got a 4pack of truffles, choco bars and other bits and bobs. There's your classics (fudge/licorice,etc) , some funky new ones (like these candy caps we got - sweet tasting mushrooms?), and even ice cream!Truffles (all dark chocolate):Hazelnut, Amaretto, Salted caramel, CappuccinoThe superstars were the salted caramel and cappuccino.TLDR: a trip to this place wArrants a trip to the dentist but yolo for these truffles. Also women owned businesses FTW.

An awesome place in downtown Janesville! Great holiday treats, classic and "oddball" candies, an overall great place! We love stopping in for ice cream or an old fashioned soda and playing chess or checkers. Highly recommend!

Such an adorable and fun place! We got an assortment of fudge to serve as dessert at a get-together later tonight, a 6-pack of truffles for a birthday gift, and Italian sodas to celebrated this gorgeous summer day. Friendly, helpful service and candy, candy, candy EVERYWHERE! And if that wasn't enough, there was also ice cream. We road tripped into town for the antiques, and will do it again just to visit this place.

My daughter and I love visiting The Sugar Exchange. We enjoy taking in the wide variety of candy and the memories (for me) of my childhood favorites. The fudge is delicious and they offer many fun flavors. This is a great place to buy unique gifts for your friends and family. The customer service is wonderful as well. We never feel rushed or unwelcome.

This store has AMAZING classic soda, fudge, ice cream, and truffles! The prices are very reasonable. The workers are very friendly and quick to answer any questions. The decoration is really cute and old-fashioned, and they play old music in the store to match the retro vibe. I highly recommend coming here--there's something here for all ages!There a table or two of indoor seating and some outdoor seating. All the staff wear masks. If you go to the river and walk to the left of the building, there's some additional public benches and tables to sit at.
