The Shores

A large group, we were staying at the rental cottages on the property for a fishing event. None in our group were aware that the restaurant took reservations so we had to wait about an hour on table for eight on a very busy Friday night. Totally worth it. One seated our table service was fast and super friendly. We ordered the Duck Wontons and the Walleye Cheeks for apps and a round of cocktails, mostly Old Fashioned's. Most of us got the Fish Fry as well. The food was all very good here and the wait staff was very friendly. Shores is a great supper club. Our experience was definitely five stars.

Love this spot! We come here for dinner each year we visit with friends. An approachable restaurant with really great food! We LOVE the martinis:)Our group enjoyed the fish fry dinner (all you can eat comes with 3 huge pieces of fish!!) And I liked the garlic red potatoes as the side. Others enjoyed the Poor Man's Lobster meal. We all split bang bang shrimp, the scallops (cooked SO well), and the mozzarella sticks for appetizers.

Friends of ours who are supper club fans have been to the Shores before so they brought us along. It is highly recommended that you make a reservation - not many supper clubs take them so do so in this case. Even though it was a Sunday evening we saw people get turned away since they were short staffed (no surprise) and had limited capacity.We found some seats at the bar and were handed menus so we could order our dinners - now this is typical of Wisconsin super clubs. When the food was ready they seated us. As we waited we ordered some drinks. Since I was at a supper club I did my usually test of a brandy old fashioned sweet. It was pretty lousy. The bartender was obviously a newbie since he had to consult some list of how to make different drinks the others in the party were interested in. He was clueless.Once our food was ready we were seated. We had a partial view of the lake across the street from our table (it is not right on the lake). The salads and bread and cheese spread were all solid. My cajun spiced perch was very good. Hot and crispy. My wife's ahi tuna was fantastic (not a typical supper club staple). I am not a big tuna fan but I gave it a try and it was delicious. Our server was hustling and very pleasant. We did not opt for dessert or dessert drinks (given the bartender). As we explore Wisconsin supper clubs I would check out some others before returning here but overall it was a good experience - just hope for a veteran bartender when you are there!

Appetizers were nicely done and fresh. Lobster Ravioli w/shrimp was delicious. They even made an order to go and packed it so nicely!Def try the raspberry lemon martini!

Longtime customer of the place -- and just ordered Carry Out during this Rod Serling Episode of the Twilight Zone that we call life these days. Ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp, 3 Piece Fried Cod, Coleslaw, Baked Potato, etc... Food was excellent and affordable. Thankfully we can still have our delicious Shores Food during the Quarantine........

very bad service. I have been going there for years and never been treated this poorly. very disappointing

We were pretty impressed with the Shores. Really nice atmosphere and very friendly and caring staff. The Poke nachos are to die for. I had a NY Strip which was definitely done to my liking ( just above Rare) the hash browns and mushrooms were really good. My Husband had the Ahi Tuna. Amazing! Add the Drunken Clam next door in summer what a great find!!! Recommend.

Had their Monday AYCE Shrimp and their BOGO Old Fashioneds. The drinks were spot on and the shrimp was awesome. Cant wait to go again

Steak was undercooked but taste good. Prices are high I guess for the view. Food did come out quick but very pricey.

This is a nice place for a good meal on Fox Lake. We have not stopped in in years, but wanted to find a nice sit-down place for dinner on the lake. The menu offers a lot of selection and while the prices are a bit high they do a nice job and service was very good. My husband had the butterfly shrimp that come with flat fries and thought it was very well done. I had the Canadian walleye and the portion was large. Fish was good (but maybe not great), and cooked perfectly. The wild rice was more long grain rice than wild rice, and it was a bit gummy but the flavor was good. Next time I would go with the soup rather than salad - that was a bit lacking. Drinks were a nice addition. We will definitely return.
