The Red Fox of Wild Rose

Our server was earnest, friendly and hardworking. We attended a meat raffle and won some NY strip steaks. Our tacos, broasted chicken and burgers were solid, not exceptional. Appetizers were fried and filling. Ambiance was loud and gregarious. I hope to return annually.

Great food all around but burgers are especially good. Good portions, reasonable prices. Wait staff was pleasant and attentive. Can be a little loud but if you're looking for a lively friendly place this is a great choice.

Food is above average, the pizzas are excellent.We have a campsite so it is nice place to take a good car ride to. The back patio could be cleaner and an open view to the lake would be nice. Meat raffle is a good time.I would rate this above the other nearby campsite restaurants.

The bartender/waitress was very rude. I'd give more stars because most of the food was decent, but just her overall attitude about simple questions really upset me. The food was already quite expensive, and when I received my chicken/rib basket, my chicken was quite over cooked - so I asked her to just take the chicken off if they didn't want to cook more. The waitress argued and questioned my judgement on the chicken, stating other people had eaten different chicken all night and it was fine... I wouldn't eat there again.

Nice lodge style bar/restaurant with an awesome view of an amazing lake. The color and clarity of this lake are like right out of the Caribbean. Smack dab in the middle of the woods. Quite surreal actually. Good food though, and good service. They had Fat Tire on tap when I was there.

For a small little bar, the food is surprisingly good. They always have a small but good selection of beers. During the summer, it is $1 domestic bottles whenever the Brewers play. The service is usually very good, and only bogs down a bit when they get packed. I always enjoy stopping by The Red Fox whenever I'm at Silver Lake. There's also a back deck that is open in summer, worth hanging out there, too.

Friday fish, Server who we have had before looked at us for 15 min. I finally went to the bar, not a good start. Fish and fries very average, the water has a real iron taste and not clear looking at all, a bad taste, We are not going as often as in the past 5 years, I'll give them a shot again in 3-4 months..

Always changing menu. Very creative chef! Great ambiance. Parking, affordable prices, beautiful lake with shade trees.

Love coming here for Packer and Badger games. Bartenders are friendly and make great drinks. Excellent place to come for a good dinner.

This little restaurant is very quaint and cabin like. It has a very small town vibe, and was a full house when we arrived for a weekend dinner. Our waitress was very courteous and friendly, and took very good care of us despite also tending to another party of 15. The presentation of the food is also very aesthetically pleasing, it's so professional looking it almost doesn't seem like it would come out of such a small town kitchen, a really pleasant surprise! The specials were delicious as well, I ordered the shark tacos with a mango pineapple salsa topping... A++! I also noticed their other regular entrees came as large servings, and look very well prepared, everything is very fresh. The fries here are also some of the best I've had, they cut them thinly and it's so genius, gives it an extra crunch but you still get the potato. I will definitely be returning to see what else the chef prepares!
