The Public House

Good here is awesome, love their food, truffle fries are great, seating is limited and can be a challenge during busy times so get slightly off hours and it's fine

The vibe of The Public House is an English/Irish pub. The bar/table combo offers a good amount of seating but not a ton of tables so large parties (we had 6) can be difficult. We arrived for a late dinner and were able to put two tables together so we were set. Had to start with a Guinness. Classic. We had two apps, Buffalo wings and the pretzel. The wings had the sauce baked in which is the way we all prefer them so they weren't so messy and drippy. Very good. I'm not that big of a pretzel fan but this was really good. Covered in salt and butter, fresh and hot. Yummy. For my entree, I chose the beet and goat cheese salad. The portion amount was perfect. I liked the walnuts and pears as a topping. Nice flavors and textures and fresh ingredients. I'm pretty sure everyone at our table ate everything on their plate. No leftovers for this group which means the food was great. Our server was rather entertaining. He had some funny comments. He did a great job as I think he was bartending and taking orders for the whole place.

Public House in Ripon, a great pub. One I would love to have down the street from me. Pretty raucous on a weeknight, I think there was a birthday party or something going on. But still not too loud to talk. You can come in and watch a game or whatever. I just needed supper. Their special was deviled eggs, and they were excellent. 4 halves, perfectly cooked, a little bit of pickled onion on top and some greenery. Delicious. Than the pork belly banh mi. Oh. My. God. For not being a Vietnamese place, one of the best I've had. Excellent, crispy, thick, flavorful pork belly. Loads of veggies and an intriguing sauce. Good bread. Served with fries or salad, and I got the salad, which was very fresh and tasty. Just an excellent meal. I sat at the bar and the bartender, though they were busy, stayed on top of things. Super service. Not a big place, but a nice bar/restaurant. Free parking in downtown. An interesting menu. I would definitely be back if I lived nearby.

This place is AMAZING! I love love love their cheese curds and these ones hit the spot. I flew in from New York City to spend the weekend in Green Lake and popped over to this pub for dinner. I also had their Harvest salad with FRESH salad dressing (that's hard to find in Wisconsin- sorry not sorry lol) super delicious! The owners were so friendly and greeted me with welcome arms. One of them was even from Long Island, NY so that makes me trust this spot even more. I even came back the next morning for their Reggae Brunch. The vibes popped off, so much fun. My friends and I had everything from Bloody Mary's to Aperol Spritz with a fat yummy plate of French toast. GO HERE I WILL BE FLYING BACK IN FOR THIS PLACE!!

The food was alright and the service was great. Inside was pretty dirty. Not much to say just nothing crazy

Food was okay, nothing really special about it for what the prices were. Service was a 10/10, we had an amazing waiter! I hate to say how dusty it was inside but the fans were coated in a layer of dust. I suppose I just had higher expectations for the prices and atmosphere it was trying to give off.

Great atmosphere, relaxed setting with a well curated, diiverse menu. Awesome varying daily features. Stop in for their Brunch on Sundays 10-2! The biscuits and gravy was wonderful.

We stopped here on a Saturday night. we got wings and cheese curds for appetizers and I got a spicy chicken thigh sandwich with fry's and my wife got a grilled cheese with bacon jam. The food was outstanding. Not to mention the ranch was 10/10 must try again. Great selections for beer. The service was awesome and very fast. I wish I could remember our servers name but she was great. The place itself is very cool, we loved the architecture and the layout. I don't know how this place isn't packed to the gills every night. We will definitely be back!!

What a gem of a place this is! Great atmosphere with a really nice vibe. The staff are extremely welcoming and attentive. The servers we have had greeted us with a smile and were very helpful. The menu isn't huge, but there is a good variety of appetizers and dishes. I would say there is something for everyone, plus some very creative dishes that are truly delicious. There's also a full bar, so no worries getting just the right beverage. We thoroughly enjoyed both of our visits to The Public House and look forward to returning. Highly recommend you stop by.

This has the best food and drink in the area hands down! I have celiac disease and they always accommodate me with delicious edibles. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive. I highly recommend this place especially for their reggae brunch on Sundays. Thanks Walter for a great meal today.
